If I've read this correctly, and we're back to three encores, including BiA, then maybe the loss of TR is acceptable?
Oh not if we've lost Silvertown too. Great shame.

Yes.  Really well played and the sax interplay sounds great on the coda.  :thumbsup

The set just goes from bad to worse with the removal of Silvertown though, and if he thinks the massively overplayed BIA is going to fix it it ain't because it sounds bad now.  Back in '85 it had power and he sang it well, now it just sounds so slow, lethargic and his weary vocal is feeble.

At least he is changing things now. Let's hope for some new ones from the new album in the upcoming shows.

Fecking marvellous to have BIA back again, you can keep TR IMHO....

And no he hasn't played TR for years either [Mega Sarcasm mode!!!] Mind you, Whoop-de-doo would be good LIVE too...

I was at the show with ds1984.
Great show despite no TR and no SB (!).
Mark was very chatty, told a super extended version of matchstick man, and said "I'm an old dude, I'm done" which we of course protested strongly.

I most disagree with you dmg, BIA was not overplayed, at least for me, last time I could hear it was 9 years ago, I sadly missed it all these years ! And I like the 2015/2019 arrangements, with the intro back ! It was not perfect but so touching, I was one meter away...

Of course the price to pay was heavy. I fully respect that he wanted to drop one song to play another, but why he would choose to drop SB, a new live masterpiece, so great and well played, instead of CBC or NDT, is beyond me. Any clue of his algorithm ? I really hope to get SB back in Toulouse tomorrow, even if I love BIA..

Dinner and party time now :)
