Think this is the first time ever he's changed the opener during the tour.

He did alternate between opening with ‘Why Aye Man’ and ‘What it is’ on the European tour with Dylan.

Indeed WAM was played on 10 dates and WII was played on 23 dates of the 2011 Dylan/Knopfler European Tour

I'd agree with you....

If you count the 2011 Dylan tour as a full tour, he did it with WAM and WII back then.

I don't count that as it wasn't a Knopfler or DS tour, but mainly because I forgot about it.  ;)
