Tour rehearsals
« on: March 09, 2019, 11:41:10 AM »
Does anyone know when rehearsals for the tour start? Depending on how long they are will inform how much of the setlist will move on from PrivaTracking.

I won't worry too much about it. Mk musicians are so professional that when they arrive to rehearsals day one they already know every song, the only thing needed is play them together twice and they have it.

This sounds more like jazz approach, but when it comes to shows like that I'd rather have 3-month rehearsal period like for DS' last tour and each show lasting for a lifetime. A small rehearsal period means simply that they (MK) don't want to bring too many of the new or vintage songs.

Mk songs nowadays doesn't require so much rehearsing than in DS days...

In a week this musicians can rehearse all MK solo repertoire perfectly.

They need to include some of the new songs and also some older ones which feature sax or trumpet for obvious reasons!    ;)   These are professionals and a three month rehearsal would be far too long for this band - best keep it fresh!    :)

Actually thinking about the MK songs nowadays and that the musicians arrive to rehearsals with the songs learnt , even three weeks are way too much.

They can rehearse 3 years or 3 days as long as they keep HFB, TR and SAN in the setlist ::)

Lets just hope TR RETURNS to the setlist, remember, it was dropped for the last part of the last tour... Heartbreaking. Though, as someone who isn't old enough to have ever heard TOL live, I would consider that really something special.

I also wouldn't mind the return of WII. I kind of miss that as an opener to be honest.

I also want WII as opener, or maybe Trapper...

The muscians in this band are so great that one week would be enough for a complete new set and more. These rehealsals are only for Mark to get a bit in shape imho.
