Exactly. Once Upon A Time...Where...impossible. Piper...possible. Punish The Monkey - I do not believe :)

Guy said there will be changes so anything is possible.   :lol :lol

Piper may alternate with GH but that's about it I think.

I'd love to see "Once upon  a time " in the set list.....and "Piper to the end"....and "Punish the monkey"....and "where do you think you' re going"....and many more.... ::)

Two of them absolutely impossible, one quite unlikely and the other has chances.

A lot of stuff he has played to death IMHO, setlist needs a major refreshment.

So, how many songs that used to be on the setlist in previous tour will appear again? What do the people in here think?

It should be harder for them to squeeze in the songs in the set list with every new album  ;D
If this really turns out to be the last tour, why don't they make the set-list at least 20 songs and give the fans a really solid and nice farewell tour?

I would like to hear OES live and I think with the saxophone etc standard (?) line-up in this tour, it might happen even in Europe and not only in the US part?

There'll be a trumpet in there as well as a sax so expect lots of brass sounds.

I would think given he dropped TR during the latter stages of the Tracker tour that the set will become smaller on the forthcoming tour.  He was obviously finding it hard going on such a long tour and I would expect him not to play TR again sadly.  I hope I'm wrong as it is the only song (along the TOL, but that is a no-no) that can truly end a concert with a climax.  Good though Speedway is, it just doesn't have the epic length to justify that place in the set.  Even Marblebore would be a better closer!  ::)

I'm hoping for a longer setlist this time, mainly because the band is bigger which would take some of the strain off MK - definitely songs with sax and trumpet will be included.   Some songs could be played that don't have much, or any, solo guitar, such as "When You Leave".   I'm sure he will still play TR, but not at every concert.   :)

Guy said there will be changes so anything is possible.   :lol :lol

Piper may alternate with GH but that's about it I think.

I mean no offense to Guy Fletcher but he once said the show was so very different from a previous tour when 10 out of 16 songs were similar from last time the band played a show in Europe. Besides, it's not like he's open to criticism as he gets overly defensive and offended over complaints about the lack of changes in the set.

Although Mark Knopfler's setlist are different nowdayscompared to 20 years ago you don't really miss much if you skip a tour (or two). 2015 was the first time he really changed up the first half of the set in about 15 years. Still, Romeo & Juliet will still be in the middle, Speedway and Telegraph Road will be in the end and So Far Way with Brothers In Arms will most likely show up in the encore.

I hope he'll change it up as much as he did 4 years ago though. Just retire the Dire Straits stuff already. Telegraph Road lost its punch years ago - he's just noodling around til the song reaches the end. I've been wishing for On Every Street for years but once he's started playing it it just doesn't sound right either. If he can't do the songs justice then why bother? There's plenty of solo stuff to explore still. I used to buy tickets for Mark Knopfler the day they went on sale but with the stale and rather predictable shows I just no longer bother.

Agree regarding OES;  the recent versions were terrible.  TR may have lost it's punch but it still has that special quality and epic length to make it one of only two songs he can conclude the main set with.

There are many other DS tunes I'm sure he could try as well as solo stuff, ones mentioned on here frequently.
