I think that for the last tour they didn't rehearse... They just tried the new songs, did a pass over the songs from the previous tour and spent one week as maximum doing that.

I hope that for next they spend at least two or three really working.

They would need at least a dress rehearsal for Guy's shirts!  :lol

I bet are the same shirts from the last two tours, unless he grow fat and need to buy new ones, LOL

Mark is going shopping!

And do you think Mark is rehearsed enough during the early shows?  Last tour he wasn't getting into his stride until late June IMO.

Manchester 2015 was only the second show of the tour and one of the best -the  longest too!    :)
[/quote]

I think they are most concentrated during the first couple of shows because they realise they are rusty and they want the show to go right - Guy said that on his forum (or tour diary, can't remember) a while back.  I think the Manchester show was one of the best too, however it wasn't representative of the early shows.

Don't forget this could be Mark's last ever tour, so I think he is going to go out with a bang. So, he might just shake up the set list, and play some amazing guitar, when you get as good as Mark, you don't lose the ability, but you can get rusty, I have a feeling we are in for a treat whatever he plays.
Knopfler, Oldfield and Gilmour is all the guitar I need.

Yes last huge tour granted, but I believe it's certainly not going to be his last stint of playing live shows....

I seriously hope he doesn't play HFB and F&S, overplayed to death. I've become a setlist moaner i see now. I do hope he plays a lot of songs from the back catalogue. Fade to black or old pigweed. Those kind of songs. I would sell a kidney for that  ;D ;D
If i was a Fender guitar, Fender painted red...

I'd agree with that.  HFB is past it's best anyway; not that many good versions from the last tour compared with previous tours.  Planet of New Orleans would be worth the ticket price alone! :P

Thinking of how Back on tbe dancefloor ends it would make a nice bridge or gapless connection between two songs. Just like MK did with Je suis desole and Calling Elvis back in the days (was it that connection?)
Maybe we will get to hear Calling Elvis again? Would fit good in the setlist.
I feel as well we're up to getting lots of brass (brasses? brass's? ;)) this tour. So why not pulling out Portobello Belle or Ride across the River again? There are soooo many possibilities to bring back pearls from the DS days that fit so good the actual MK... But face it: it's a dream :D

When I try to think about a setlist, I find difficulties with TRACKER songs... I can't any of them fitting in the set. There were ok for their own tour, but none of them fits here... maybe the combo "Skydiver-Laugs and Jokes"?

I don't see it.

I'm going to give it a try starting from the last setlist of Tracker tour:

Nobody does that
Back on the dance floor
Privateering
Father and Son
Hill Farmer's Blues
Just a boy away from home
She's Gone - Your Latest Trick
Romeo and Juliet
Sultans of Swing
One song at a time
Heavy up
Marbletown
On Every Street
Speedway at Nazareth
So Far Away
Matschtick man
Going home
So Long

I have a new candidate for the final. One Song At A Time. Mark, please. It's a real hymn.

I'd love to see "Once upon  a time " in the set list.....and "Piper to the end"....and "Punish the monkey"....and "where do you think you' re going"....and many more.... ::)
My idea of heaven is a place where the Tyne meets the Delta, where folk music meets the blues.

Two of them absolutely impossible, one quite unlikely and the other has chances.
