I won't be negative either.  I'm just pleased to see MK and the band play in front of me, whatever they play, especially as this may be the last big tour.    I'm not particularly keen on SFA, but played live it somehow feels like a party with lots of friends!     :)

SFA is not bad live because the average fan likes the DS catalogue and it's one of the few tracks they have recognised during the show!  So yes it does get everyone going and that is a good feeling.  Poses the question then: would the whole concert not be much better if he played more of the older and better known DS songs that the average fan recornised... :think

On the other hand listening to the concert afterwards it is poor as you can't appreciate the atmosphere on a stick!

__________

On the other point regarding negativity, I will not commit myself and can only say that I will just give an honest assessment about how lethargic the concert was and how little guitar playing there was.  ;D

SFA only works for me played live.  Even hearing the same song on a USB doesn't work and I always skip it!   It's all about the atmosphere.      I do still listen to certain concerts over and over, though, and I remember how good they were!  Manchester 2010 is my favourite!   :)

He didn't play everything I wanted to hear, but I wanted to hear everything he played

Hello every heart in the forum, here’s my guess for the setlist 2019:

1. Back On The Dancefloor
2. Trapper Man
3. Hill Farmer’s
4. Just A Boy Away From Home
5. Good On You Son
6. Your Latest Trick
7. Romeo And Juliet
8. Sultans Of Swing
9. Matchstick Man
10. One Song At A Time
11. Heavy Up
12. On Every Street
13. Telegraph Road
14. Brothers In Arms
15. So Far Away
16. Going Home

It is what I believe to be plausible, but in my personal wishlist I would dream about seeing Tunnel Of Love or Portobello Belle this time around... best wishes ;-)

I think Matchstick Man would be an amazing encore.

Yeah, and it would be something that really has never happened before in MK live concerts (I believe) if Mark would play Matchstick Man all on his own, as a solo acoustic number...

There is only one mistake in this setlist prediction, one very very obvious.

I'd say that TR will be dropped too.

Down to the Waterline is just an expression that he will play an early Dire Straits track from the first two albums somewhere in the set.

It is the the last tour and think he will throw one in for fun.

At least, I hope he does.

Portobello Belle, that’d be my wishful bet ;-)

I think he will play OES/Speedway like the last leg of the Tracker tour. But i also think he will change it for TR from time to time. Why not?

Best opportunity ever to get Metroland into the lists.

But then again, that is what the fans want...
