53km I’m in for the competition, it was enough I guess.

Problem is there are probably hundreds/thousands at 0km

I think that's not a problem. You receive a message that you are participating anyway.
But only the closest wins.

That's not what rules says. Rules says that you can participate multiple times but only your closest result will participate. Not any mention about being at the 0 km spot to participate.

It's a game after all and the fun is in playing ;)

Ofcourse you can participate, but you cant win when you are 50km away when 1000 people have 0km. That sounds ridiculous.

I insist that the terms and conditions don't say you have to guess the exact point to win.

Fun?

Terms and conditions don't even say which distance to the point would be considered to participate in the prize...

No it has to be all that has 0 km.
It says: "The prize winner will be based on closest coordinates on the competition map to where the album artwork image was photographed."

As closest coordinates is 0 km it has to be all that gets it right. If the winning person was 120 km off, then it is not closest coordinates.  :lol
Cheers Peter

All with 0km should be the ones with a chance...

If everyone can win regardless of distance from the right spot, I'm out of this contest.. Havn't we had enough already with the bonus songs mess, FA confusing, late deliveries etc etc etc .

Has anybody actually, genuinely found the exact spot, 0 km? Friends, family, and I myself have managed to get as close as 3 and 4 km, but none less than that. Has anybody got the exact coordinates of ground zero? (After midnight, GMT.) Why is it in km, anyway? The USA measure in miles, like the UK!

Got 0 km yes. But what they think what the correct spot is actually 2km away of the real photo spot.

I can reveal after the deadline (in about 20 minutes), ofcourse  ;)

My condoleances. Im sorry to hear.

The deadline has been reached now according to their terms.

Its not a place on highway 50, there you got 3km distance. There is a video on YouTube video who shows it best (not related to this contest, so coincidentally)

First you need to know the road name and number, you can find on streetview/maps. Then do a google search for it and everything falls into place ;)

I'm pretty sure, that only the people with 0 km will have a chance to win.
I do a lot of competitions every month.
In fact I'm quite a competition fanatic.  :)

Some time ago I participated in a similar competition, where they showed you pictures of streets in France, which are located in tourist areas.
You had a map and you had to mark where the street could be located.
You got points based on how close you got to the actual street.
The main prize was a car and you had to reach a certain number of points to be able to have a chance to win the car.
Everyone who had less than a certain number of points only had a chance to win a small prize.
Everything was explained in the terms and conditions of the competition.

Since the goal of this competition is to find the place where the album cover was taken and nothing else regarding points/km is mentioned the only thing that counts is the distance.
So 0 km is better than 3 km or 50 km.
The reason why they mention that you participate with 70 km is that they don't know how many people will reach 0 km.
If there a 50 people who reach 0 km and 100 who reach 3 km they will draw the prizes among the ones with the better results.
But if there's 1 person who reached 0 km and 50 people with 3 km you would a chance to win with 3 km.

This is a quite common method to narrow down the number of participants for a competition, because it's unlikely that everyone will reach 0 km. Of course everyone has the same chance in the beginning, but the prizes will be drawn among the best participants.
