So I tried my exact spot. Even all the bushes are exactly the same, other clues are aligned exactly, too, no doubt — that's the exact point. And what's the results?

2KM off!

Now I'm pissed off. Either put the exact point on the map or do nothing at all. So it seems they have their own point where they think it was taken.

And you know what? I give up. There already people with "0 km" answers and I've found the exact point and got 2 km. I don't like it. Thanks.

Lol, on such a long straight road i bet you can find the same view and bushes in 2km as well.

I tried, but the slope ahead changes drastically and doesn't look like cover anymore.
It's not the perfectly straight road, it has a curve to it, which is another clue.

So let's guess where somebody guessed there the cover was taken

This also happened to me. It said I was 3km away, even when the picture in Google Maps is exactly the same as the cover. Maybe it's a bug?

This also happened to me. It said I was 3km away, even when the picture in Google Maps is exactly the same as the cover. Maybe it's a bug?

The trouble is there's no right spot on Google Maps, so you have to do an additional research. And after that you realise you're 2 kilometres off lol. So it's a complete free-for-all — find the spot and then just guess.

Also, I had a strange glitch today: I wasn't able to do another guess after the first attempt, but then I logged in expecting to see a timer and instead I was offered a second chance. This was strange, so I went ahead and picked another spot, got 2KM and walked away. Now I log in again and see my old results with old timer, so that was the fluke the first time? I definitely couldn't misspell something because of auto-completion, so it was a glitch. And will it count as different attempts? I don't know, I already lost all my faith in this game.

I don't know what for additional research can help me further yet  Tried several things, but no results for a 'better view'. Just move slowly in one direction until you hit the 0 km spot......
