RAH Dates - Just Announced
« on: November 03, 2018, 08:40:26 AM »
Being brave - or foolhardy - enough to have let the O2 booking go by - they caught me out that way last time - I’m now relying on there actually being some RAH concerts, and being quick enough at booking to get some reasonable seats. Does anyone remember from last time when they sneaked the RAH dates into the schedule, and whether there was priority for us lot?

Rah dated were announced very late, coinciding with the release of Tracker, which was released some months before the tour started.

I don't think this time it would be announced the date of the release as they have to sell the O2 before, and the O2 is not on general sale yet, and also we are not sure that there will be rah dates... But there are some days free in the schedule after Birmingham and Guy is nit answering questions about it, so...

As a non-UK resident, is o2 not a good venue for Mark? Because I just bought tickets for the o2 concert and I'm flipping excited!!

I checked the concert plan for RAH, and I'd say either very early June or mid-May.

The RAH is a beautiful theatre, round with a lot of charm. Even it's big is still a theatre.

The O2 is a big hangar. Too big, excessively big, with no soul, not beauty, not charm. Just a big hangar.

I've been in both watching MK and O2 totally sucks versus the RAH, which is probably one of the best and most beautiful venues not in London but in the world.

I'm sure it is, to be honest I was not aware that there would be more UK dates, but I am just extremely happy to see Mark again, whichever venue it is, especially in London!

To experience 'The Master' at the RAH is just totally out of this world. Again MK at the 02 didn't do it for me...

I would bet on 20-23 May or 1-5 June ... given the schedules and occupation of the RAH.

I would think may 21 and 22.
At the end of may after Birmingham they have a short break of 7 days  before going to Norway.

I think the RAH may be the first few days of June after Birmingham...

I see that EC is in residence from the 13th - 16th May...

I am also convinced that 2 RAH shows will happen May 21 and 22.

Last time it was two days after the Birmingham concert. There was a gap similar to the one this tour and was filled by the two rah concerts and some more in Germany.

It won't make sense they play the rah before they play the O2... But there is a gap before the UK dates as well, and between the UK dates too...

RAH is beautiful but sound is really difficult, especially in some parts.
So if not front row on floor, stalls are generally a great choice.

Ahh the famous reflecting snare drum....

Cant remember what year it was I sat there and marveled at the acoustics that could happen in a circular room!

I've been there five or six times in different places and the sound was always great.
