Milan sounds great!

Regarding the songs,  is difficult to forgive what Ianto did to Why aye Man there... oh my… in my opinión, he spoils the entire song with his new beat...

Ianto spoiling WAM?? The blooming brass section aren't exactly needed for this tune and IMHO spoil it.

Not really. Like for SAN, maybe we got this impression during the first shows because Mark was a bit Rusty, but now it is clearl, it is not brass instead of guitar, it is both guitar and brass !

Maybe this is not the right place to ask, but I didn't want to open a different title for this ridiculous curiosity. I've been thinking about it for 2-3 weeks. Mark repeats the short melody in the video below that starts at 5.50 and ends at 5.55 at almost every concert, and I remember it from somewhere. Maybe in another song ... Any comments?

The ever-shrinking setlist, and people's pretty positive remarks about 18 song Barcelona make me think that’s the one to get.

It should be something like an arabic/turkish  dance tune called Hoochie Coochie Dance/Kradoutja/The Streets Of Cairo

Oh, my God, that's a detention! Thank you very much, because in the comments below this strange video, I learned that the melody belongs to an Egyptian song. Called Streets of Cairo. The ear-free state should be:

How Mark learned this melody and how I heard it, it's weird. I apologize again to our valuable forum readers for being quite off topic.

At last, a very good Speedway mix. Bordeaux. It was about time. You're getting there, you're getting there...

Sorry to lower the intellectual level, but it always reminds me of "Achy Breaky Heart" by Billy Ray Cyrus

Just listened to the Milan download (in mp3, for convenience) and must say it sounds pretty nice, mostly because of the wonderful arrangements and a good performance by Mark (his age taken into account) and the band. The mix seems decent and works, although it still could be a lot better. For me the focus on Mark’s vocals and guitar could be a bit less and the same goes for bass and synths. What bothers me a bit about this production is the level of compression, important dynamics seem to have gone lost, which is a pitty as the more powerful passages don’t come across a such. What are your opinions about mix and compression?

Another thing which is bugging me a bit (also in downloads of earlier tours) is the sound of the snare drum. To me it sounds too soft, more like a muddy tom than a snare, as a consequence it loses the necessary attack in its sound. Anyone else who notice this?

I finally bit the bullet and bought Barcelona (no, not the football club, that would be beyond my budget). Chosen because it’s highly thought of here, MK's voice is in good shape (as it wasn’t at RAH1) and it’s the longest set of the tour. Way too early to give my impressions, I’ve only listened to Once Upon, MFN (sadly lacking Guy's singing at the beginning) and what was labelled by those producing as 'Track 11' which is actually 'She's Gone/YLT'. Anyone buying this will have to relabel this track on their computer if they’re bothered about it. A fuller report should follow when I’ve had a proper listen to the whole thing.
