as usual the Pensa on Telegraph sounds like a 100 euro guitar, incredible really, prefer 100 times the very good audience recording which is out

all the other MK's guitar sounds are much much better

mixing is good but not great, some instruments are way too low

drums/percussions quality of recording is really questionable

overall good but not great, as usual

Hope the brass section not too front in the mix. Like flute in 2010 recordings.

At the beginning of every song there is a little 'cut', that's not done very well, but it don't bothers me.

Noticed that too.. at 0:11 on MFN for example, perhaps due to their bad song cut as stated earlier here..

Yeah those cuts into the songs should have been avoided. Overall sounds good but I don't know, is it a result of a fast-paced stressful work that ended up with this? Although it was already delayed, another day or two fixing this would not hurt.. let's see if it's the same on the next...

The overall mix between all songs is so varied. Some sound great where others sound pretty poor. Hopefully there is better to come. MFN is very poor IMO where WAM sounds great.

If yes.....are these the mp3 files or Flac?

If mp3......that’s the normal gap you get between files

If it’s the Flac files.....then it sounds like somebody took the MP3 recordings and converted them to Flac instead of the other way around. If so......they are not lossless files and need to be redone

That sounds suspicious that they took the original mix and made mp3 first then got lazy and converted them back to Flac.

There’s free software to test a file to see if it’s of lossless or lossy origin. Possibly somebody test a file?

Are these “gaps” at the point where one track/file ends and the next one starts?

There are the sound gaps but we also have songs that begin with the ending of the previous track. So you can hear the end of the previous track, a small dip in sound where there is nothing at all, then the beginning of the actual track you are on.

Wow......at best....that’s just terrible editing on their part. At worst.....they took the mp3’s, convert to Flac and passing them off as lossless for higher sale price.

I don’t have the show....if anyone wants to send it to me I could try to look at the tracking and redo them as well as check for “lossy” status

I think it's just a poor (or not very good) performance on MFN by MK... Not so good on the guitar during verses, and not singing all the lyrics. Solo's are good (not the start)
