Is MK unwell ?
« on: October 23, 2018, 08:12:06 PM »
Hi everyone
I follow various Facebook groups and one lady called Beatrice Van Lagenhove seems to insinuate that the tour may be postponed or not go ahead? She gives the impression that she knows MK well. Guy has posted that MK is well, so that is good.
When she is challenged she posts really weird non descript answers.

Must be nonsense. Why announce a tour when you already know you’re going to postpone it?

Yeah, makes a lot of sense.

Apart from him looking really just not good (bloated like from heavy medication one COULD assume) there are otherwise absolutely no signs of him being unwell. This was posted today:

Most important observation? No new sound samples or snippets used in the clip...

Yeah, makes a lot of sense.

I agree with you both. Her comments are certainly strange but slightly worrying

Unfortunately, in Mark's world there's a lot of strange and insane people (me included lol). So I don't think it's a reasonable source of information.

I would be a little kinder and say she is a fantasist.  She claims to know him personally etc etc...  Used to call herself Beatrice Knopfler.  That says it all really.  I actually think she needs to see a doctor.  :-\

Should be placed in a nice comfy padded room with someone else we know on here quite well but who shall remain nameless.

depends what you mean by unwell. He's nearly 70. The older we get, the more likely we get physical health issues. He's clearly struggling with his back and posture. I have not idea whether the tour will be postponed, but highly highly unlikely given details only just released. I'm sure the pre-flight checks involved in him putting a big tour on are stringent enough to be sure he can physically manage it. I do often look at his posture in interviews though and he does sit and walk uncomfortably now, but that happens to a lot of 70 year olds. In his latest interview, it's most clear he's planning to wind down touring after this one - but he's deserved it.

He's 70 years old, of course he's not as fit as a 30 year old. That's just easy logic isn't it? If he does this tour, in the current schedule, he'll be 73/74 when he tours next. I'm a nurse in a big hospital, and I have seen 74 year old people barely managing to get out bed without help. And that was before surgery... So I think he's quite fit..  ;)

I don't think he is sick or something, he is just 70 years old. And he's not like Roger Waters, who still runs around the stage energetically at 75.

To be fair, if I was in his position, I would probably do the same and try to spend more time with my grandkids, or just go play with his dog. I believe he's earned the right to do that.
