One of the very few cases where I must disagree Shangri-la....he is a person of public interest , and that includes his closer family, imho. To a certain extent that is. And that extent is not being crossed on here

If indeed Mrs Knopfler snr. did pass away recently I'm surprised that the Official MK site didn't post an obituary as a tribute to her in some form or other? Even though Mark has maintained a "very private" persona throughout his entire career, we all have only one Mum, and it would have been a caring way, for fans to show their love and offer their heartfelt condolences at our hero's personal loss.

But on the other hand, the public knows exact date AND the place of his wedding, it's even on MK's Wikipedia page, which for me personally is completely useless information, so I don't know what privacy we're talking here. As you said, MK is of public interest to a certain extent, but as we all know about MK's signature "doesn't careness" you can't expect much indeed.

She seems to be cultivating some sort of showbiz career... her boyfriend is an actor, she recently worked with Natalie Portman at some showbiz event at the RAH etc etc

Part of cultivating a showbiz career these days is social media, so if she posts something, she wants people to see it, otherwise she would just have a private account for her friends.

She posted a pic of her arse in a bikini yesterday for Christ's sake...

I think I have explained this 100 times.
In 1995 a person from MK management told me that since MK's father had died and his favourite song (of his father) was Tunnel, MK was not going to play it again. I initially had obviously no idea if this was true, again it was 1995.
After so many tours and no tunnel ever again I guess this was 100% true.

My guess is that it happened on 15th of October, but maybe a year ago and this was just a little anniversary tribute.

I think that pictures Isabella posts is like kindergarten level stuff compared to the things that you can see in Instagram feed of other girls of that age. A couple of bikini pictures is completely okay, especially being not vulgar at all. The times are changing, again and again
