Didn't remember that Hamish and Robbie played together in the McCartney's band during the 1990 tour... the one when they played Knebworth!

Jim Cox turning up on this great Lyle Lovett track. I was surprised as he usually has Matt Rollings in his band!

Found this singer/songwriter called Samuel Smith. His album In The Springtime is great. Plus he managed to get Matt Rollins and Stuart Duncan to play on it after a diagnosis of Parkinsons.

Just seen that the folkies play on Claptons latest album. It’s a good song as well.

Just looked it up, Sam Hall and Always on My Mind.

Always on My Mind is such a good song that it's hard to mess it up. Nice production on this, with some distinctive Jerry Douglas licks. But Clapton's guitar tone is horrible, yeuch, should have spent longer moving microphones about.

Reading the rest of musicians in that two songs, these were probably recorded before or after Eric's guest appearance in the Transatlantic Sessions gig in London from two years ago, as all the musicians are the ones of the house band for those gigs.

I wonder what the hardcore EC fans think of him following MK's footsteps and going folkie :)

His guitar parts in that song reminds me of MK Playing with his Les Paul at full.
