Anyone noticed his singing during this promo gig is much better than the TV things that he did in 2015? He sounded like Krusty there.

I did.  His singing has improved and I actually thought he sounded quite rough during the interview like he had a cold or something.  Promises much for the upcoming tour IMO.

Something weird going on with Mark's hands. Like a tremor of sorts.

Yeah your right, I did not notice it directly. Still plays great, but I actually noticed it a lot in the Playtime Deluxe video last year :(

Around 1:50 and 3:20, in general his left hand is shaking all the time like he is crazy nervous or something  ???

About the guitar used on Romeo, it's not the first time Mark plays this song on normal acoustic
he did it during STP promo tour
can't find it on YT, but the version is avalailble on the 2000 promo tour bootleg : it's on Craig Kilborn Show 29-11-2000
only guitar and piano and the guitar doesn't sound national

No tremors there, just MK doing what I'm sure most guitarist's including myself do to 'shake' the string to 'vibrate' the note... Its a natural thing I personally do on the fretboard..

Its not a normal acoustic, but a Dobro Mark got as a gift from Jerry Douglas. :) It has a resonator cone :)

Fun to listen to, but they seriously should have rehearsed more. This was not a smooth performance, to say the least.

The Boxer was the best performance, IMO. Nice to hear Mark acknowledge other musicians like that (not just Dylan and Chet Atkins, the usual suspects).

On a side note - Mark should seriously consider replacing Richard with Robbie for the tour. Richard is more versatile, I guess, but Robbie is much more present as a guitar player.

Totally agree with your comments with regards Robbie. Ive admired him since he played for Paul Mccartney especially the 'New World' tour when his guitar playing was legendary....Incidentally I'm seeing Robbie in concert on the 16th November.....

Also what's cool is that Robbie sounds a bit like MK himself, e. g. on The Boxer sometimes you can't tell who's playing acoustic and electric. He just suits his music stylistic-wise. But we all know that Mark will never replace Richard for anyone. And to be honest, I wouldn't, too.

Thing is personally I like both Richard and Robbie....both guitar geniuses in their own right..

I know what a vibrato is ;) That's not what I'm referring to. It seems, to me, that there's a sort of nervousness or restlessness, in both hands. And when he moves his fingers around on the fretboard, the movements are also a bit stiff. Could be just "age", though.

Yeah that I thought myself as well. And most vibrate stuff you do with your left hand, and his right hand is more shakey. I play also guitar and can also play the same finger style as Mark (not as good though :P) and this does not look like a normal vibrate thing to me. If you compare it with older videos or Dire Straits it never looked that nervous. Maybe I also ”worry“ too much  ;D. An age thing could it also be...

Since you brought that up, yes, I've been noticing that for a while now but never said anything because maybe it would have sounded bad to one's ears.

Which part of the video do you notice the tremor?   I have studied it and can't see anything trembly.   ::)

Well, that's highly possible - he had signed autographs in the cold for around 4 minutes!
