Floating Away (featuring Ruth Moody) ?  ? ?
I know the way I can see by the moonlight
Clear as the day
Now come on woman, come follow me home

There is no Drover's Road :o

They also missed to count track number 16 so I guess they indeed forgot it.

I am far from understanding what they all are about, but I guess that lyricallywise, this album is very dark, angry, bitter and has almost the feel of judgement day. I find nothing uplifting, beautiful or just positive.
Seems he has indeed become quite grumpy..

Sky and Water, Privateering part 2? About the Mutiny on the Bounty? Mutiny once more...

Pale Imitation... wow. If it's really about himself than it doesn’t get more personal. Touching.

Back In The Day (Bonus track) ? ? ? :o

You had to know what you were doing
Up on the band
Nobody lining up
To come give you a hand
No way could you fake it
At 18th and Vine
And we could really put the sauce on it
We’d do it all the time
We was hot as smokin’ pistols
Chopping everybody down
Swinging like dogs, man
Kings of the town
There’d be a cutting contest
You had to do your research
I’d pull out a lick or two
From Saturday night church
Yeah, you’d maybe get to try
A couple things you learned
But you had to do your homework
‘Cause a gig was earned
When swing turned into bebop
It was all going on
Blowing all night
On past the dawn
I might play all day
I might play all night
Whatever made you stronger, baby
That was alright
Yeah, you’d maybe get to try
A couple things you’d learned
But you had to know your business
‘Cause everybody burned
Well a beer was a nickel
A whiskey was a dime
They’d come to Kansas City
See the girls on Vine
Might get a hot shot
Wanna bring along his horn
We liked to clean ‘em up
And head ‘em back where they belong
So long
But it’s just the old malarkey
That’ll wear you down
Some people are the pits, man
There’s always some around
Some will take advantage
If they can
It’s the old baloney sandwich
You dig me, man?
I’m talking about a time
When every man could play
But that’s the way it was
Back in the day

As long as I recall this song is not announced in any of the editions...

Indeed, and it wasnt in the ascap list. Strange. Also the featuring Ruth Moody is very strange? She isnt in the credits and i thought Guy said she wasnt on this album.

All the lyrics are on MKNews:

https://www.mark-knopfler-news.co.uk/releases/wherever/

Including Drover's Road and Every Heart In The Room. Nothing about Ruth Moody being on Back In The Day either.
Knopfler, Oldfield and Gilmour is all the guitar I need.

So she is. I missed that, I wonder why both sites have differing information? I thought there was some connection between the people running the sites?

MK com provides other information and MKNews others. Very strange. We have 20 songs?

My bet is that info in mk.com is wrong. Guy said Ruth Moody is not in the record and Guy is who produced the record so... My bet, someone from mk.com copied and pasted information from tracker as a draught to then change the titles and who did that forgot to delete the featuring Ruth Moody from Wherever I Go...
