Lyrics correction

Let the gold and silver come to you
I need you but you need me
So
you best let this trapper be the trapper
You need the trapper man
The trapper man

sounds more like...

Let the gold and silver come to you
So leave the dirty work to me
Yeah you best let this trapper be the trapper
You need the trapper man
The trapper man

Great tune, great lyrics. Yes sir!
...Well, he's a big star now but I've been a fan of his for years. The way he sings and plays guitar still bring me to tears...

Totally great. Loved it. Intro indeed TR sound alike.
Otherwise JF and Rail King totally failed to describe this gem. Totally phantastic Dire Straitish, fresh, enercetic. HIS voice gives me shivers all over.
Would have loved to hear this properly on the Radio without any knowing ... legendary MK remembrance moment forever.
Perfect Live Opener. Lovely break.
Oh yes, fucking nice guitar.. nice guitar.
Comparable from the impact with This Is Us.
Very nice piano on it.

If someone captures it as mp3 please pm to me!

LE

I did say I loved it !  ;D ;)

difficult for me to describe music in words with my poor english, but it is in my to 3 songs of the album, and a very very good opener

Ssshh.... Don't agree on that this is a good opener. Remember last time? Everyone wanted Laughs and we got Broken Bones!

I'd describe it as a merry Hillfarmer's Blues in a major key.

It's got the same kind picking lick throughout the song.

Oh wow, what a great song. I’ve loved them all so far but this one is fantastic. These three songs alone have been worth the wait. He’s really turned his back on his age in a very dignified way with these songs. Unlike McCartney who’s currently singing about wanting to f*** you.

I know little about Springsteen but it’s reminiscent of his sound that I got from my first listen.

It's MK trademarked but I hear americana all over it.

Apart from Springsteen also a lot of John Hiatt.

I don't hear any sax, trumpet and trombone on this track. The track must be 6.00 long, it is 5.30 now. Maybe some small part missing?

Room for some good soloing at the end of this.  Potentially a great live song...

Great song except for this typical Guy's continental organ or whatever it is. To be honest, I hate the sound of it, Guy plays it exactly like that in so many songs that it's literally painful to hear. Holy smokes, Guy, can you be a little bit more modest with your presence? Don't steal the song from Mark! Because of this dreadful organ alone I have mixed feelings about this song.

And I know that the song would be a million times better without this squeaky disturbing organ. You literally can take it out and nothing will change, will only get better. I know you can't undo it, but it only makes it worse, like watching a friend fighting and not being able to help.
