MK fan since 2001-STP Tour knocked my socks off. Hubby introduced me to DS in 1979-SOS on the radio. Helped make me want to marry my hubby. Sexy, rockin' stuff! Liked and was intrigued by DS/MK, but got hopelessly hooked during live gig.

Val, I think we're all young in the mind-if not the body. Sad, but true.

I asked my hubby how he thought I'd look in the swimsuit the female divers wore during Olympic springboard diving...("Here's Gayle Snyder-USA-58 years old-doing the triple back flip with one and a half twist!"). He was a good boy and did not answer! LOL!

Hi all.
My name is Nigel Dignum. I'm a very young looking 40yr old.
I live in a small village in Norwich, England, with my wife & 2 children.
I have been a die hard fan of Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler from the very start.
I am the manager of a shoe shop selling designer brands, and have been for nearly 20 years.
My love of MK's music has followed me through school, college, work & beyond. Anybody who has known me the last 30 years, knows me as a massive & passionate fan, who can't go a day without mentioning the word Knopfler at least 10 times.
I have seen him play live about 20 times. The first time in 85 with DS, & of course i've seen him as a solo artist, and with the NHB's. I have seen him 5 times this year on the KTGC Tour
My fave songs are. SOS, TR, SHS, WII, BLT.
I love his new album KTGC. Best solo record to date imho.
Also i count his soundtrack music amongst his best work.
I have a Dire Straits tattoo on my upper right arm of the guitar logo used on DS 1st 3 albums. The red & white guitar with Dire Straits written in joined up writing throughout, and i have recently added another, the word 'KNOPFLER' written as it is on the SL album, on my lower left arm. :-)
I was lucky enough to meet MK in Newcastle this year at a M&G. It was a life long dream to meet him, get his autograph, shake his hand and say thanks.
Last month i celebrated, along with Ingrid from Holland, a joint 40th Birthday Party, in which we hired the UK's TOP Dire Straits tribute band, called 'Dire Fakes'
It was an evening i will never forget, with MK forum members in attendance too.

Might add some more to this later.
