I doubt the players see it like that; people only remember the winning team.  I've been to enough cup finals to realise there are no runners up, only winners and losers.

Let's talk about 1982 

Brazil had the best team I've seen but Italy still beat us. Falcão, Sócrates, Cerezo, Zico, Júnior, Oscar, Éder, Leandro... a true dream team. Our only weak spot was Serginho. Careca, Reinaldo and Dinamite were all either injured or recovering so we were left with that bonehead to lead our attack. In the end Italy played the match of their lives and deserved the victory but it still hurts.
