Oh, the Portugal-Spain rivalry... come on, guys, let it be. Each of you got half of South America, Tordesilhas signed, it's all said and done. Can we be friends now?

Which rivalry?

It's needed a rival for that, lol. Nobody, except a Portuguese would take seriously Portugal as a rival!

It's just another team with good individual players and one big starlet. Honestly, Belgium is far better than Portugal.
Oooh, now we are talking
Let the games begin!
(I always FAR preferred Figo compared to CR7)

Yes, Figo was far better and a team man.

Cristina is just a egocentric starlet who collect individual prizes and makes their teams wins it's own wins to feed his gigantic ego.

Ronaldo's girlfriend vs Figo's daughter, that's the real challenge.

Really?

There is not any single doubt here... Figo's wife wasn't from Portugal!

Maybe I'm going to far making fan about Portugal, sorry guys!

You can make fun about Spain as much as you want in return.

Just a last one. Do you remember in US films and series that they are always making fun about Canada? Same happens here with Portugal  ;D

Belgium does not have blue and white? You must be confused
What the **** happens with the supposed big teams? It is supposed that European and South American selections are the big teams but African and Asian ones are teaching them how to play this game!
What are you talking about? Belgium IS performing!

Win at least one WC before calling yourself big, little man
Mmmm,.....I will, the next time I lose 1-7

sent from my Samsung Galaxy 9+ via tapatalk

Lol that was low... but to be honest here I'm just teasing you, I'm with Julio, I don't really care about Brazil. I'm a football lover and care a lot about my team, Botafogo (I support Atletico de Madrid and Liverpool too), but I only brag about our national team to make fun of my foreign friends. In fact, I was rooting for Germany that day, especially for political reasons. Usually I simply don't care though.

But yeah, win something relevant first and then come back to talk with the big fellas
I knew it was risky, but as said, this is just about football and having fun. And when people use the 1-7, just smile and say "5"

Lol not risky at all, brazilians take football quite seriously when it comes to local rivalries and stuff but we are very laid back when it's about countries - unless you're from a certain blue and white country that speaks spanish and has the best player I've ever seen...

Well... after a quick read, if there's no rivalry between Spain and Portugal (in both directions) there's no other rivalry whatsoever.

As for the so-called rivalry between Americans and Canadians, I suppose it's like a blessing for the latter (especially when jokes come from Americans, those funny folks). Suppose the same happens with the Spanish jokes - it's like music for the Portuguese.

The most funny thing is that Spanish doesn't care at all about Portuguese. Actually, most of us never remember that Portugal exists, except when all possible travel destinations are so expensive that our only chance is Portugal, and we try not to tell anyone...

There is a joke that says, three friends are in a pub having fun and talking about their holidays, one went to NY and they spent a lot of time talking about it and having good laughs, the other went to London and they keep talking and laughing. Then, the last one says he went to Portugal. All of them look to each other, on silence, and order another beer and start talking about football.

We have this back and forth rivalry with Argentina too but every time one of them starts it all we need to say is:

5 > 2
Pelé > Maradona
Bundchen > the entire female population of Argentina

And the winner by TKO is...

I am the Iron Fist. Protector of K'un-Lun. Sworn enemy of the Hand.

Well, you said it and confirmed my idea once again.
Whenever someone talks about another, it's a confirmation of other's existence and a sign of respect. Even with such angriness.

Is this a thread about World Cup or a plateau for potential jokers?
