Well, do you know the discography of Gilberto Gil? Or Nils Petter Molvaer? Or Leo Kottke? Or Snarky Puppy? Or ...? Or ...?

And before you know it, the new MK album comes crashing down on us. Boom, like that!

While you're waiting, just enjoy some other music instead. Dig into your favorite streaming service, and indulge.

I don't have any interest in other music, but next MK's  :lol

I am fully aware of that. But to he honest, if you read and watch the q@a section on his site, I can't really see the point anymore. How many times does a question get a satisfying answer from him? It so depends on his mood, and it seems Mark's anti-fan-behaviour has contaminated him.

LE

Maybe so. Or he got told that he should stop posting pictures of Mark and the band during the recording process. Either way, it's stupid to call something a diary when it's not, or running a Q&A without answering the questions. He could just say, look, I'm tired of this (which he has every right to), or I was told to stop it. The problem is his (and generally the management's) half-baked approach. They should learn from the old painter in that MK song, realize that they «weren't created to answer the call», and let it all go.

You know Gil? I'm impressed, good on ya. The guy is a genius. A bit suspicious politically speaking but a genius musician.

Re Guy, I don't think it's his fault, he says what he's allowed to. I'm sure he can't wait to spill the beans, getting asked on a daily basis questions you can't answer must be utterly frustrating.

Have you heard of Gustavo Cerati? He was a great guitarist from Argentina, huge fan of Mark's, who passed away a few years ago. Worth a listen!

My most recent album purchase was Live and Let Live with Terry Evans and Bobby King, both of whom were Ry Cooder's backup singers for many years. Ry Cooder both played on the album and produced it. It was recorded in the late 80s, so it does have an 80s feel to it (drums, electric piano, big reverb), but it has some great tracks. Some really groovy and rock-y ones, and some lovely ballads too. Recommended.
