But the title could already be announced. Guy Fletcher did not know why they did not do it

Well, July is around the corner  ;D

The ideal would be that they announce the title, cover, title tracks, formats and release date at the same time, but I guess they are going to do at least three different anouncements, title and release date, tracklist and cover, and formats, to follow their drop by drop schedule.

I was thinking in how much in advance they announce their tours, I searched in my mails and found this:

Privateering was released on September 3rd 2012, the first dates announced for the Privateering tour came out on August 27th 2012.

Privateering record was announced on July 18th 2012, so if they follow the same schedule, we are very very very close!!!!

So let's imagine the new album comes out in October, we'll have the tour dates in September, or if album comes out in September, in August we will have the first tour dates!

I'm really looking forward to it, specially to check if the start of the tour coincide with the musical in Edinburgh, or the London (or other not far away UK cities) with the musical in London! I imagine most of you are in the same situation, LOL

I bet that new record release date would be September 28th or October 5th

Privateering was already in web stores at 26th may 2012, so more than 3 months before release I 'investigated' this 2 weeks ago and posted it, but no one reacted :P

Yes, I remember like it was yesterday when I found the cover and track list at play.com site, that is gone, nowadays is part of Rakuten. I was working in a hotel reception at that time, ending an evening/night shift very late, bore to death waiting the last customers to go, and digging in internet, I made the discovery  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Quite excited to be the first one!

I also remember: ) And how I liked the album cover Tracker. I would like something similar. Not necessarily reproductions of paintings. More open spaces

Someone has posted in Guy's form this:

Contact? Contract!

I wonder if it's something, or just another fool fooling around...

He's merely correcting 'contact' to 'contract' in his posting immediately before the one you've quoted.

Just announced Paul McCartney's new record out on September 7th some two and a half months away! I think we are three or four months away from getting our hands on this new disc me thinks given we have no announcement other than 'Autumn' up to now!

GF:

I think if they tour Europe first it will be the same as usual.
September release with tourdates for Europe. Jan 2019 tourdates for the US.
Probably somewhere in july  a statement with albumtitle and official releasedate.

I saw Guy's answer and it made my day :) I also think we are back to a known pattern which leads to date announcement in September 2018.
North America, Europe or the Moon first ? I don't really care as long as it's fairly announced.
In terms of personal strategy why  North America first ? Then I have a chance to convince my wife I should go. Obviously for a series of shows  :wave
And still have to do Europe after.  ::)
