If the release date is at the end of October (which is what I hope), it would be announced later this week.

If it's in November, which is what I fear, it would be announced in September, hopefully the first or second week.

I see it the same way.
Every week that goes by without a release date announcement postpones the release of the album itself, now to the end of Oct./Nov. at the earliest.

But even if we do not get a release date for the album in the coming weeks what I realistically expect is that we have the first tour dates announced before September 20th. I think this has mostly been the case in the past.

I think they will announce tour and album at the same time, within the next 3 weeks.

... and we moaned a lot when with Tracker they announced the tour before the release...

I truly hope that's true... I, as probably most of you, have a lot of planning for next year around the already announced (and on sale) tickets for the musical, that I (we) can't do as I (we) want to fit that musical tickets with MK tour dates.

Actually, I won't mind at all if they announce the tour dates before announce the record!

I think that we will get to know the title and the release date earlier.

Yes, actually we were just having a laugh about it, as with Tracker, released in March (or was it April?) the tour dates were announced in september or october the year before, and now it looks like it's going to be the same, the tour announced before we even have the record...

The logical thing would be announce the record and at the same time telling that "details about the tour will be announced soon" and some weeks or a month later, have the tour announced. I don't think that would be later than november, probably coinciding with the release of the record:

September: announce of the record release date plus information about tour dates to be announced
November: Release of the record and announce of the tour dates the same date, to boost the tickets sales coinciding with the record

What do you think about my marketing strategy?

This thought, logic, strategy is better, and in the music industry it happens more often.

I don't care about the album announcement, it won't impact my 2019 holidays. But I need to know the tour date asap.
