That's great, she will feel much more comfortable now. At the end of the afternoon I will bring my CD's to the postoffice as well.

Until I read Emily's email just now I had no idea this had happened to Jacki. My thoughts and prayers go out to her, and to those helping her recover.

I've lost count of the hours I've spent chatting with Jacki, but she is without doubt one of the kindest, funniest, most genuine people I know.

It's a relief to read she no longer needs the breathing tube. I'll be praying for further improvements and will send a card and some CDs.

fresh news. Good news!

Hi everyone! Jacki continues to improve, she is ready to get out of ICU (woohoo!), now all she is waiting on is for a regular room to open up. I asked her about the laptop, and for now, she said she would like to wait on that. But she sends her love to you all! She's in great spirits and we pray she continues to improve! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Nathalie, thank you for the update about Jacki! I can't get on her new page, so can't read there!
 :(
Quote Maarten: "cool forum friends we are, i am proud of us.."

Yeaahhh Maarten, that is right! I also think it is wonderful that we all sent cards and CD's to Jacki. To show her that we care about her and that she is in our thoughts and prayers.

You know, besides Jans and my kids,  I now and then also talk about my online friends to my family (brother-sisters, in-laws ) / co-workers / friends and others. I sometimes see them looking at me as if they can't understand how much friends, I met at the forums for a long time. mean to me! I explain that although I didn't meet most of them, that they are a part of my life. I read their stories and know what is going on in their lives. I perhaps even know more about them then I know about co-workers or some friends I meet twice a year! LOL

By receiving cards with Christmas, birthday's or in cases like illness, the friends online become to others outside the forums, real people. By watching the cards Jacki will get from the MK fans, people will know how much she is loved and what kind of wonderful group of people she is a member of.  ...........I sure would be proud to show ALL the cards from my friends to other people, and I think Jacki will have the same feeling and it will make her happy too!

Uuuhh what did the 3 musketeers say?
One (MK) for all and all for one (Jacki)  ;D

So glad to read that Jacki can move to a regular hospital room now. That's welcome progress.

It's wonderful to read about Jacki's progress. I'm sure there's a long way to go before she's fully recovered, but to hear she'll soon be out of intensive care is such a relief.

Fieneke, your last post was lovely and sums up exactly how I feel about the people I've got to know here. (I hope to come here far more regularly now I finally have proper web access again.)
