Thank you Val and Linda, it is good to be back again! I just heard the new song of Mark and I am getting excited again, but now for the new album!

Thank you also Shangri-La and Emily for the news!   :-*

I signed up at the CaringBridge site of Jacki and get information through that site also when there is news. Gayle and a few others signed up there and Emily continues to keep us informed via Shangri-La at this site, so I am hesitating if I should post news about Jacki again or if you all go to that site to get information.

Edit today:  I decided that when you need more information besides the posts here, then it is better to visit the CaringBridge site yourself.  ;)

"Jacki's on the improve" - news from Emily remains positive but Jacki is going to still need as much positive thought that we can muster to make the best recovery possible.

Becky had some positive news to report from her visit with Jacki late yesterday.  Jacki

:( Bad news about Jacki folks.
  :-\

There has been a setback over the past 12 hours resulting in Jacki requiring further surgery. I have attached the last email from Emily.

Folks we need a lot more positive vibe to lift this great MK fan out of her state of poor health. Becky reports:-

Jacki underwent unscheduled surgery yesterday afternoon for removal of her gallbladder when complications arose causing Jacki to be in a great deal of pain.  Her surgeon said that the procedure, although long, went off as well as could be expected considering Jacki

One step forward with Jacki's condition today. Thanks to Emily and Becky for keeping us in the loop.

There was brighter news regarding Jacki as of late yesterday afternoon.

I heard from Becky late Sunday afternoon.  She had not yet been to see Jacki at that point (but was hoping to a bit later).  The news was brighter.  She said that Jacki was awake and

Dear all,

Thanks for the good thoughts, at the end of this day I can report good news, Jacki got a MK-birthday-gift regarding her condition. This is the message from Emily which she got from Becky who is visiting Jacki almost everyday (thanks Backy from all of us who are on the other side of the globe!)

Jacki was transferred to a regular room (#4614).

Becky and Jacki enjoyed a good visit earlier today. Becky reported that Jacki was in good spirits and

This is all really good news. Seems Jacki is making a steady, if slow, recovery.

I am very sorry to have sad news again, it looked so good yesterday  :'(

I am sorry to tell you that Jacki experienced problems with her breathing last night and the decision was made to transfer her back to the ICU; she is again sedated and intubated.  Becky said that she was told

Oh dear, bad news.  Perhaps the news will be hopeful again tomorrow.     Good wishes for Jacki.

Below is what Emily wrote to me:

As of very early this (Friday) morning, the doctors felt that Jacki was doing a bit better with the intubation in place.  Testing yesterday revealed an infection for which Jacki is now receiving treatment with antibiotics.  Additional tests were run but the results are not yet available.

Becky will be away this weekend but always close to her cell phone and home voice mail.  She has promised to call me if she is notified of anything new in Jacki
