New album and tour
« on: February 16, 2018, 10:23:30 AM »
Ok so it seems there are different infos on the new album. I think Guy mentioned they will be finishing it in March. Elsewhere it was noted that it would be released in march?

I suppose a March release would mean a tour during summer/fall with some dates being open air concerts. In case of a release say in september, that would mean an intention of getting a lot of sales and promotion up to christmas and then maybe first a tour in April 2019 and onwards.

Any thoughts on this or anybody got any reliable info on release dates/tours etc?  I suppose there would be some rumours coming if they had started booking venues already?

No release in march. Album is finished in march. Guy confirmed this. Release probably in september.

Some amateurish fan site  (I think Italian) was misinterpreting and wrongly spreading Guy's line about "completion in March" as release date on Facebook  ... even after I mailed them pointing out at their mistake they still behaved enthusiastic and didn't change a thing. Like 12 years old...

I don't expect the new album to comes out before September 2018 and now that we know the Local Hero musical will be premieres in Spring 2019, I don't expect any tour dates after that happens, I think that MK will be involved in the production until before the premiere as the songs, music plus lyrics are written by him, and if anything needs last minute adaptation, will be MK work.

No... It's very unlikely that MK release the cd with the Local Hero musical before it's premiered, and that would be Spring 2019...

Yes... and the Henrik Hansen dvd, and the announcement of the next tour and tickets presales, and also the anouncement of the musical dates and the ticket sales...

Quite a lot of things coming to get more and more nervous, LOL

September release, Spring start...I really hope the musical won't be a replacement for a tour.  :think

Does anyone remember when the news about the new album reached us the fastest when the premiere was in September or October?

So september release meaning a tour from around april I suppose. Thats quite a long break from touring it seems.  Could we hope for another double album like Privateering?  Why not!

So tour starts around the same time the musical premiers?  This bothers me that the musical may have replaced the tour.

Makes no sense to release a new album in september and then wait 8 months to go on on tour.....saying that at this moment i was thinking how much time was there between releasing Tracker and starting the tour  :think
