This is like true love. Or true friendship.
We accept the good and the bad from an artist who really matters to us. And we can critisize if something goes wrong, and, of course, praise him if we feel touched.
The only problem here is that he doesn´t care about that, and only cares for us giving what he thinks is the best and a bunch of first rows places for us in his tours.
But we are still friends and lovers by accepting this role.
