I find it funny that some fans think that every fan must hold their horses when talking about their idol. The best thing about a fan forum to me is the interaction between members. It's interesting how you can have a very strong disagreement with someone on a topic and team up with this very same person on the topic right below. As long as there's respect and class I see nothing wrong with that.

If a fan just wants flowers and chocolates they'd better move to an island

For criticless MK worshipping this was never they right place. MKNews was. People who newly come here have to decide if they like it or not. People who are already discussing here (male or female) should NOT have to do it under the premise that they have to keep this a bubbleworld PC comform place just because of any potential new members that will register maybe or not.

I am totally open for him to give me a reason again to worship him like I did 30 of the 33 years I call myself a fan.

But the last tour was just bad and boring. I visited three shows and remember nothing from the music itself. The way the shows (especially London and RAH) were promoted  was a big anti fan desaster.  Beryl promo gigs on TV made me cringe and hope no one of my friends had seen it. The quality of the downloads was just extremely bad if you keep in mind that BG sound-detail talk stuff all day..
Tracker was some sort of sedative, objectively seen. Not one single outstanding composition, nothing new, only recycling and rearranging the usual ingredients.  The setlist got worse from tour to tour, last exciting one in 2011. These are some of the reasons MK gets my full frontal criticism since a couple of years. That TE track was playing three times on YouTube for me, I did not even bother to pester friends and family with the usual "You have to listen to this MK has something new" as it is absolutely nothing worth mentioning.

Nostalgic reasons I never had.. I prefered always his solo efforts about the old times.

But I think he WANTS to let it roll out this way. Just to have a daily routine as someone must have something to do in the end.  No artistic goals anymore. Filling time with utilizing the big toy that BG is...

At the moment I would not care about tour dates as I am pretty sure that I will not go. And I HAVE high expectations for the next release knowing that they will be disappointed.
It's what it is. We are in the last stage of his career, and I am in the last stage of my fandom it seems.

Elin, this is a democracy. You can ask for less negativity but nobody has to give you that, at least not just because you want it. And to be honest I don't think negativity is the right word here anyway. I don't think you're a worshipper either, maybe just a sensitive fan who takes criticism on Mark extremely personally, I don't know.

In any case, if someone drops by and leaves because people have different opinions this person is not ready for the internet.

Just a last thought on this matter. I agree with jbaent on pretty much everything since I first joined this forum but every time he talks about Legacy I feel like strangling him (metaphorically speaking, of course)

Thanks for the laugh Ed. You go ahead, I have realized long ago that you and most others here will never accept me, even if you know nothing about me. Noone who knows of would call me "sensitive". Nor positive for that sakes. You go on being king on the castle.

Really? I thinking you're making fun of and complaining about what you used to like most in the world. And almost harassing Guy Fletcher for info about the new record. Funny how commenting on the level of negativity turns into "hero worship" and "flowers and chocolates".
If you didn't like the last album and tour why do you feel the need to come to a "fansite" and constantly belittle it. I can't wait for the next album --- when it inevitably doesn't sound like Making Movies 2, the knives will be out. Don't worry, I'm only joking.

I'm not Ed's lawyer or anything, but he really hasn't harrassed Guy Fletcher for new info. Everytime I see his posts on his forum it's about other stuff, and more recently about MK totally ignoring South America for almost twenty years. We are not here to "constantly belittle Mark's work", if you read this forum extensively you'll realize that's not true...but even if it was, what's the matter with that? Is he like a God who never makes mistakes and never does anything that's not as good as a previous work?
I think you are you way too stressed and need to calm down a bit.

(By the way Ed, as a fellow portuguese speaker, thanks a lot for making an effort and trying to bring MK to Brazil! Although I'm not brazilian, I've got relatives there, and I would probably go there if MK performed there)
