Tuning 3/4 electric guitar
« on: December 22, 2017, 11:37:40 PM »
Ive got my son a 3/4 fender for Xmas and wanted to know if it should be tuned the same as a standard guitar considering it has shorter strings. Any advice welcome thanks.

Congrats to your son! :wave As I understand, 3/4 Fender has a scale length of a 22.5 inches making it basically a travel guitar.
Travel guitars are usually tuned in standard tuning like regular guitar, it's just they use thicker strings. On acoustics it's 0.13.
