All good points TC, but just as being found "innocent" in a court of law doesn't necessarily mean that he WAS innocent, similarly being accused of these crimes more than once doesn't necessarily mean he was guilty either, particularly when he made a huge payment to the first accuser and thereby creating an incentive for other people to make simlilar accusations. Now, you can say that even in doing so he was proving his guilt - "Why would he pay the money if he was innocent?", but in Jackson's case I can see why he might do just that. Imagine you had hundreds of millions of dollars and somebody was saying all these terrible things about you, and you could just pay a few of them to make them stop. Now, if it was me, I would want to fight to prove my innocence, but having seen what Jackson's like over the years I can why he might see that as an appealing option. I guess we'll never know now.
What I do find interesting is that there's a certain amount of hypocrisy over this issue. For example, Pete Townshend downloaded child porn and got a slap on the wrist. Gary Glitter did the same and got a slap on the wrist. Everybody knows Jimmy Page was having sex with a 14 year old in the 70s, but he's a hero. Can you imagine the reaction if Michael Jackson had done the same thing?
