There's a minor error at 0:08 or maybe 0:07, not a big deal. I don't really feel like revisiting the song in question anytime soon but it was either a slight tempo conflict or two conflicting notes that generate a dissonance. That's the problem with live recordings, if something like that happens it's virtually impossible to fix it, and then it can lead to a dillema in case you really like the take. As I said, that approach is definitely not my cuppa tea but that's just my taste.

I have no desire to find errors, I have no clue what you’re talking about...

I don't hear any special "mistake" at 1:46 ?  :think

Neither do I also the one at 0.08.   Too much nit-picking, perhaps?    :think     I like the song very much, btw.   :)

As I said, it's not a mistake per say, but rather a little fluke. Mistake would be if he played the wrong note there, but it's just an awkward mute.

Hey quizzaciously, let me tell you something: Your approach to the song, and playing is much more interesting than this. And your April Come She Will cover is sublime. Thanks for sharing this gems.

Good evening Sir, thank you. My approach is based on Tommy Emmanuel's solo version, so all the credit goes to him, my job was merely repeating it and coming up with the original solo. I got to say that I love the solo version more than their duo version... Now I'm curious to hear Mark's solo version as well!

P.S. Thank you for April Come She Will, I love that song, too. I tried to give it some MK feeling, and it worked! ;D

I'm with JF and Val.  I never noticed a mistake and I was actively looking for them!

It may not be a masterpiece but it's refreshing to have a new song without whistles and pipes.  I hope this is a sign of things to come.

Seriously? I think that this song or Playtime Deluxe do not tell us anything about the new MK album

Looks like it, with these two songs you can tell it all comes from the drawer, maybe written 5, 10, 15 years ago. Especially after the 2015 album!

Lol I don’t really nitpick when listening to Mark’s stuff but I can’t help noticing something my ears heard either, guys. I can’t unhear it or tell my brain not to process it  :lol

Anyway, I like the song but I reckon it could sound much better if the band was involved, just drums, bass and piano. Sometimes raw works, Iron Hand is a good example, but in this specific case I think it was a mistake.

Mark has a tendency to sing in a high tone. I think it sounds better with a lower voice

most of the comments calls for Laugh and Jokes and Drinks and Smokes, bored out of the mind with the Colins and Bobs 8)
on the other side, I find the song very amusing! It's Mark still on his mission, sharing the feast, and we do know the story, we do feel the pain, do we? 'couse Donegan's gone!

It's interesting, because they've played it in the Half-Step Down Tuning, and Tommy plays it in Whole-Step Down Tuning which sounds better.
It's true that it sound better in lower register, but it demands tuning the instruments down, which is never an easy task for lazy people lol :lol

Also, a man in the comments on YouTube made me think about this song having some Randy Newman vibe in it. I demand a stride piano cover!
