A russian guy with a golden ear
And a gibson jumbo - standard gear
He been helpin’ us for a few years
Wish I could offer him a beer!

Romeo, baloney or heart of oak
Knopflers tricks - he knows them all
Never for him a heavy toll
He makes us rock and roll!

Always seeking challenges to engage
Like Mark’s songs - better with age
But care, the guy’s no joke..
He’s on the official page!

Love you Pavel, best of luck to your projects
Really hope you do “the Boxer” next!

Now that's funny! :lol :lol :lol

Thank you! I guess after that I have no excuses doing other songs!

Even though I only make tutorial videos, I get inspired every day and The Fizzy And The Still lesson was probably the best example of pure inspiration in this whole year. It's not a popular song, literally nobody asked for it, but it doesn't matter as long as I love the song and as long as I have something to say about it. And, as always, I have a lot to say! Sometimes I re-record my videos because I'm not pleased at all with the result, and this was the case. But as the song is not popular anyway, I decided to leave it "as is", first take type of thing. I guess the performance and the information is the priority here, so enjoy! Pavel.

Once upon a time in the west and Silvertown were Hugh surprises in this tour but for me the best surprise was Heart full of holes, which, together with Scafolders wife are my favorite. That's the song I enjoyed the most in all the concerts I attended this last tour.

Thank you! Wow, that's one drool-inducing guitar... A perfect Fender Stratocaster. Priceless!

Pavel, do you have any tab recommendations for the studio version of Sultans of Swing? I can play it "half-a$$ed", but would like to finally work out the licks and solos.

Another suggestion: Smooching.

Those jazzy chords are killing me. Maybe you could attempt a fingerstyle arrangement...? Just sayin'...

...Well, he's a big star now but I've been a fan of his for years. The way he sings and plays guitar still bring me to tears...

I've already transcribed it, but I have to admit — recreating it in full is completely impossible (probably even for Mark himself) because two electric guitar tracks are glued together to the level it often sounds like 1 track :lol But the chords are insane, yes, and it's possible to approximate it so it's "enough". Will do!

I thought Justin Sandercoe has a tablature, but it looks like he's not! So my only suggestion would be to go to paid services like this one: https://www.sheetmusicdirect.com/se/ID_No/25280/Product.aspx where you can buy sheet music + tab for the price of a coffee cup.

Because at least you get a better quality product! Of course any teacher will tell you don't use tabs at all, but I've actually used tabs when I started to play. Of course today I can pick out anything by ear, but that's only after years of practice and I loved playing tabs on early stages. Nothing wrong with that.

That would be great, Pavel. Looking forward to your approximation! Even if you don't decide to do a lesson on it I would be interested in your chord interpretation if you ever care to share it.
Thanks!

These 2 are pretty good,
you just need to mix the best parts of the 2 and you are almost there

Thanks, Pensa. The second one sounds really good. I like the sound of the neck pickup actually!

Heya Pavel, I would be really happy to see the jazz chords. I really like that stuff, but I’m finding it hard to place them properly in a chord progression, so checking out Mark’s work would be marvelous for me.

P.S. Still waiting for The Boxer. First lesson in this decade? ... :)

Cheers
