It's great that you are doing it with lessons, and earning a living despite all the bad things you had to leave and still leaving.

You know you have my support!

Thank you! Yes, it's tough and really costing me a lot of nerve cells, can't go anywhere from this submarine though. I just do my best.

Cannot praise you enough Pavel. Congratulations!

Thank you, guys! It still feels strange of course. I mean who am I to be endorsed by Mark Knopfler himself? But hey, I embrace it and run with it.

My wife’s birthday is today, and what better way to celebrate it than with a solo from one of Mark Knopfler’s finest love songs? Darling Pretty is another essential Mark Knopfler song. With its Scottish intro, great lyrics, astonishing guitar work, and solo to dream about, it’s a perfect song to play on a loop or strum your heart away. Thank you, my own Darling Pretty, for being a constant source of inspiration for more than 10 years. I had goosebumps while recording this solo, what a masterpiece. P.S. I know the solo is too short. Please, pass your questions on to Mark. Thank you very much. Pavel.

Some of you already know what happened, but I'll drop it here just in case.

I was mentioned on Mark Knopfler's social media for the 3rd time, and it was too much for some of my fellow guitar YouTubers, who unleashed their dark side on me. Rivalry, competitiveness, and desire to measure certain body parts have won, and they attacked me for what it's worth.

The musicians I'm talking about are Kfir Ochaion and David Levi, and I'm especially sad about the latter, as he seems to be a nicer chap and player than kfiro. But I can't stand BS and will defend my work from attacks like this.

Mark's music is deeply infused with this rivalry among guitar players, where everybody thinks he's the best at it, just like in racing or sex, and if anything, after Mark promoted me, my job would be to iron down this sportsmanship attitude towards his music. MUSIC IS NOT A SPORT!

Keep doing your work and ignore them. It doesn't worth. You are valued by the man himself, that's what's worth.

Thank you! Of course, nothing is changing for me, but I had to respond to such harsh behaviour from such famous people. They have more followers than Mark himself! Of course, Mark has more fans overall, but it's a completely different game. I could never imagine I'd be humiliated by a 2M YouTube channel.

Promoted by Mark Knopfler, but hated by real stars.

Jealousy, pure and simple.

Rise above it.

Hey Dusty, of course, I'm above it. But I think I did the right thing to raise some awareness. I know it would be cool to not respond, but people I know in person were offended, and the legitimacy of Mark's page was questioned, so I had to respond. I think I'm going to stop any further promotion on Mark's side as it could lead to a revolution.
