No VIP-tix at all!! I was there refreshing 10 times a second, so first sec I tried to order and ....nothing!
Real disappointed, seems that there were very very little tickets! And because I am not a VIP no chance at all!

Hi Joerg, good to hear from you again.
No I didn't order other tickets. I already decided before that I wanted to go to London for the VIP-thing, that was worth the high price and travelling for me and not to go for the other.

So no Londontrip on the 9th of september for me  :'(

that's really pity ... I've got reserved seats and hope the gig will be worth the trip. I've read that pottel has tickets ... so let's see who else will come.
see you on tour or perhaps on a promo gig.

Ingrid, I decided to get me a reserved seat for 200 GBP. Doesn't hurt anyway and they play just a few miles from us... But that was really a weird ticket sale... now, looking forward to see EC (and Winwood) in the US next week.

i might be wrong, but when i tried at exactly 13h our time which obviously is the 12gmt they announced, i did get through, only to find out the bleeding vip site still had my old credit card information. --> meaning, i did get through that very first second, but then i went out again, changed my creditcard info like ASAP, went back in after 2 minutes (literally) and all was gone....
so yes, i am going to, as i had already ordered the 100pound one, just to make sure, but this sure is a big dissapointment to me, at least until the 8th of september that is, one day later i will be closer to happiness again, i guess......if anyone is obstructed from going, i am buying your ticket (the vip one that is)
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....

Pottel, I did get through as well. The server was able to answer the requests, but was not able to allocate tickets for the requests.

I am guessing MK has nothing to do with the pricing structure of the tickets and I am sure he thinks the venue is a good idea being located in his 'home' town.

However it's a shame he couldn't have staged the gig in one of Britain's 'quainter' locations. We have some beautiful cities with beautiful venues. They don't cost a fortune for taxis and accommodation is very reasonable. And they are easily accessible. London is not. Unless you live there right in the centre of town.

I would have paid twice the asking price if he had played in some obscure location (a la Boothbay for example) but the expedition/pilgrimage itself would be an ordeal that I think would take the shine off the whole event. And to travel all that way for 60minutes is also a lot to ask.

Next time maybe?
