Yes, but we had those for free on Guy's site before, so I think they are just fillers for the box set.   :-\

Mark is not the Dire Straits blockbuster seller anymore but as long as he can record the stuff he likes and tour who care?

Just that apparently one reason for "no" 2008 show being filmed is due to a lack of commercial potential.

Oops, sorry!    ;D   I think they were very interesting though, and I really enjoyed them, but nevertheless fillers in the box-set.   :)

Yes, very interesting, but not worth spending 70 pounds for just them and 3 tracks.

Sorry but I am NOT going to spend 134,35 for a CD boxset! That is just insane. This must be the most expensive deluxe set I've ever seen!
I'm a modest person and I don't have a money printer at home and I won't buy it for prestige reasons even if I had the money. It hurts me to learn this is MK's decision. If it is so special, then why such a high price that some people might not be able to spend? LK, you say MK's concert tickets are rather cheap so we shouldn't complain about the boxset - well everything is a matter of perspective I'd say. I don't have a steady job yet because I want to choose it very carefully and I'm still working on my PhD outline. Consequently, I need to consider everytime I spend a larger amount of money. For me, going to several MK concerts means sacirifices, like no vacation for example. That's okay because I know it's worth it. Poker chips, dice and a guitar tab are NOT worth it. As for the extra songs, I'm going to do what MK does not want us to: download them illegally!
Sorry I'm a little upset about all of this  :'( It's so weird.
i guess you did not buy that pink floyd deluxe set then (ok, it was limited to 10,000 worldwide - forgot my #- but that just contained all the albums, remastered and in their original vinyl artwork (with cardboard and plastic or paper sleeve inside and all text printed very minimini...) and that was something like 155 euros, NO extra's
but that does not change my opinion, i will buy coz i am a knopfler nutter, but i am furious about the price in relation to the content, and also wrote that to Guy. it is not the content itself, as lk also explains, it is the price for that content,....
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....

Also eil.com says that Limited digipack is 2CD/DVD (3 discs) set. It is good shop and as usual for them the announced details are completed. TK posted that Limited digipack is CD/DVD combo only. But does he have 100% information? Guy Fletcher (co-producer!!!) does not have yet (or would not like to explain it) . There are several online shops say that digipack is 2CD release.

Other idea came to my mind to try to solve the big amount of money we should do to get the delux box...

We can sell in ebay those items that are useless to us. To me it will be the 2 vynil edition and the tab book, so I can get some of my money back and made happy to those who would like to have those items but don

And about buying, looking at the different prices there is something that looks like an smart idea to me. With the pre-order lowest price policy from Amazon, maybe it

I think it is about time that we can see some photo's from the deluxe boxset.

Maybe it is shaped like a fender guitar? Or like a big dice?

I have asked Salvadordesign for a picture from the boxset, so hopefully get some answer over the weekend.

If everybody has got some connections at record companys please ask them for more info!

I am really curious about the shape of this box.

Hi all. WOW. Just come back from a 10 day holiday in Ibiza. Great to catch up on such a lively subject.
It's sure made interesting reading.
I do tend to agree with Pottel.
I am a box set junkie. ;D I love the whole look, feel, smell of them (am i weird?)
I have box sets by Pink Floyd, Dave Gilmour, Steely Dan, Bob Dylan, The Eagles, Tom Petty, just to name a few.
I agree that it would definately be good if we could get a few pics of what the GL box set actually looks like.
I have a hunch though, that the actual price will not be quite as expensive as first thought. Even if it is, i predict the price will drop very quickly after maybe only a month or two.
I am a very shrewd music buyer, and have found some amazing bargins if you keep your eyes regularly peeled on the music shop shelves.
One case in point is the red 'Bob Dylan' Best Of wooden box. When it first came out i think it was nearly
