Hello to you all! This is my first post on the forum, just want to share the following...
Today Universal (the record company) announced on their Dutch website the deluxe boxed set of Get Lucky will contain two CDs, two(!) DVDs, two vinyl and merchandise stuff.

Welcome mschapp, and thank you for that news!  If the set contains 2 CDs and 2 DVDs, then the price is a bit more realistic.  The 2nd DVD has got to be a KTGC concert, right?   ??? ???

Welcome to this forum mschaap.   This deluxe Box Set is becoming more mysterious by the day and I hope that soon we will find out definitely what it contains.   I'm not going to order until I know the facts!   :)

The Dutch Universal site also reports the DVD of the CD/DVD-version of Get Lucky contains 1 acoustic track, documentary and addtional videos.

I hope the second DVD of the deluxe box isn't a mistake/typo and we're actually getting lucky with two DVDs. The never released Madrid 2001 DVD would be great for instance...
Thanks for the warm welcome at this forum!

I am also interested in the description of the dutch site about the acoustic track: They call it an "extra track". So is it a new song? Or an acoustic version of one of the album tracks, f.e. Remembrance Day? Hmmm.

Also two DVD

I have tried to make contact today with Universal Music but the person I have mailed is out of the office until Monday August 10th.

So I hope to know more at the 10th of August. But then again maybe markknopfler.com has got the information allready but just don't want to inform us.

Hello Chaps and Chapesses...

Just spotted this on the MK News Site.....Confirmation if Confirmation were needed....

Formats:

The album will be released in three formats:

1. Standard jewel case CD

2. Limited edition CD / DVD digipack which includes a tour around the British Grove Studio conducted by Mark and Chuck Ainlay

3. Deluxe edition in presentation box, to include:

Limited edition CD / DVD digipack
CD of 3 bonus tracks (new songs)
DVD with behind the scenes tour footage
3 x engraved poker chips
Guitar tab for Get Lucky
Vinyl version of Get Lucky (double LP)
2 x branded craps dice
facsimile gig ticket

For me - i like the Limited Edition/DVD tour of the studio option.......and the 3 new songs obviously......BUT

Poker chips - no thanks
Guitar Tab - no thanks
Vinyl - No thanks
Craps Dice - No thanks
Bogus Gig ticket - No thanks!

i honestly cant justify the VAST increase as opposed to the CD/DVD option - maybe thats just me and im a mean git - but sorry - i just cant! >:(

I think this is even worse than first thought!   I expect I will buy the digipack because the deluxe version is definitely not worth

Yeah, same here! I think the "behind the scenes tour footage" will exactly be what Guy offers on his homepage, so nothing new probably... OK, three
new songs ARE an argument, but they will be released later in another way, I am sure, as b-sides one by one, or whatever... So I am pretty sure the
Deluxe box is nothing for me!  A Live DVD, and I would have bought it for sure...

Strange enough! Who ever thought one year ago that there would be released a Deluxe Box and I am not in for it? It is not very convincing, the whole
project...
