I was boring today so I decided to create the prize "I Told You" to see who was the first to guess correctly the secret project and I find this:
Nah - working on a musical of the life and times of MK!
So even as a joke, Neville Sherman got right that it was a musical, on page 11
Then on page 24 I kind of get close...
Guy also said earlier that for 2016 there will be "lots of recording"
I guess MK is working on various things at the same time, or one very complicated that needs lot of work...
Is maybe composing an opera, like Roger Waters did years ago? Something like Sting previous album?
It's something different, that's all we know.
And on page 25 I did another close one
I'd say that whatever MK is doing in his studio, it might be not HIS project, as far as they can't tell because it doesn´t depend on them... it´s something that MK has been approached to do, like when a film director calls him for a soundtrack...
Maybe he´s writting music to a big film, a documentary, a play etc etc etc, something that doesn´t comes from him directly but has been asked to do it and he thought that would be interesting.
That will explain why they can´t talk about it, as it´s not his project, and why are just MK and Guy working together, with a small band session...
So, if it´s this, it´s not a new album... but we already suspected that this was more than a MK album, which is not so mysterious at all...
And again me in the same page:
From Guy´s forum:
Question:
A hot or cold kind of question…
This project, is something that MK has been asked to do by someone else, like when a film director asks him to compose the film score?
Hot? Cold?
Answer:
Yes and no
Yes to "is something that MK has been asked to do by someone else"? or to "Hot"?
No to "like when a film director asks him to compose the film score"? or to "Cold"?
If it´s YES to HOT and NO to COLD, the project is a film, LOL
If it´s YES to something he´s been asked to do, and NO to film score, mmm, interesting... I bet for a documentary or a play, that would explain why there won´t be live dates...
So, until the track list appeared and our Scottsmen (Dusty and/or Dmg I guess they were...) pointed to Local Hero, I would give the prize to Neville Sherman
