And who said Mark is playing on this record?  No pictures of him, no guitars, nothing.  :o

I guess Mark is in the picture with Jim Cox, far to the right, behind the glass.

Just like most of us, I think the biggest suprise is Danny there.

Great to see Danny back again, on percussion this time I think.    :D

Danny's contribution on percussion was invaluable on the OES album/tour so I'm sure something nice will come of this.

Must have missed the guitars somewhere.  I wish the pictures were available separately to scroll down and view instead of this slideshow idea.

Yeah, especially after listening to his drumming on 2007 and 2009 albums I wish he would drum again, but hey, percussion is fine, too. As somebody said, he "feels" Mark's music as well as Ringo Starr feels The Beatles' songs. Seems like a nice chap, too. Made my day as well.

Danny's percussion on last David Gilmour record was just brilliant.

Indeed, looks like MK.

Nice to be reminded how Studio 2 looks like (I almost forgot!), but isn't it fascinating that after months and months of working on the most exciting thing – new MK songs! – all Guy has to share is a list of the gear they used. I can totally see how he's helpful in the studio, but he surely must be the most boring person on earth.  ::)

Yes boring old farts. ..

But to be fair this might be all he is allowed to share.

They just have no idea how modern internet promotion works these days and don't care for fans the slightest. There are thousand bands outside there who take more interest in their buyers, listeners and consumers. It is just that we are all a bunch of poor and desperate masochists  in following this man... hoping the best but expecting the worst...

Why are you complaining? There are artists who do not show anything. More optimism  :)

I agree!    Anyway there are other things to look forward to.   I'm going to see John Illsley on Wednesday and I'm quite excited as I've never seen him live before and it's a very intimate venue.   Also I've booked for Transatlantic Sessions in Gateshead in February - so there are other things happening outside of BG!   :D

Hi
My impression is that for listen to something will take a long time yet. Tracker was released in March 2015, his next one probably September 2018....will be a long wait  :wave

If you mean the big one, that's Studio 1. The Studio 2 is just a small room where MK goes to record guitar and vocals alone, and sometimes other instruments, but alone as it's too small to have more than one "big instrument" like keyboards, drums etc.

Studio2 is where Mk and Guy work when they are alone, usually MK inside the studio and Guy from the control room.

This is studio 1

This is the control room of the studio 2, you can see the studio throught the windows at the right part of the picture.

Just notice the "other picture" in the left part  ;D
