It is David Knopfler celebrating the 40th anniversary of HIS career that includes the early years of Dire Straits.

I don´t see MK doing something like that anyway.

The length of time this is taking it could be Mark Knopfler at 100 album/tour 2049.  With the age his audience will be they'll be issuing tickets in large print by then!

I still believe in my prediction of DS reunion on Live Aid 2085 anniversary.

Even tickets with extra-large print won't help me in 2049 - I'll be 107 and in a home for the bewildered - still listening to MK, though, if I can!     ;D

Mark's new album will be named "That would be telling". Trust me.

:lol :lol Haha! And he was trying to tell us all along. I know it is a coincidence, but he hasn't used "soon" after I told him he is driving us insane with that word

Q:Hello Guy, is this new project also followed by a new tour in the near future? Or will this project only be studiowork for you?

A:There will be all sorts of things happening as a result

I guess that this means a tour or at least a group of dates will take place after whatever is released...

All sort of things he says. What more is possible than a tour and some interviews for radio and tv?

This came to mind this morning, when Roger Waters composed a opera because two friends asked him to do it...

And also when Sting composed a musical some years ago:

Just an interesting aside...

A few days ago Alan Clarke updated his website news and said in one line that he had 'done a session for someone's album'. I look again today and that line has been removed. A possible clue?

I asked Guy this question a few weeks ago:

"Hi Guy, I’m guessing it’s music & songs for a modern ballet of Romeo & Juliet!"

Guy: "nice guess"

It could be a rock opera, though!    ;)
