Well that would be a surprise  ;D Though I highly doubt it, GF has said many times that TNHB was only temporarily

I don't want no collaboration,  no special guests, no Gilmour, Clapton, Morrison, no Musical, no film score no anything - all I want is pure MK music... Knopfler songs, mountains of it.

Right, DS ruled so why going solo?

Mark should have keep writing SOS shaped songs for 40 years and still get the band as a foursome, no need of extra key or sax  :hmm

Leaked news: New MK project is a duo record with David Gilmour. MK wrote all the lyrics, as it's known Gilmour is not good with lyrics, but Gilmour is writing the music in collaboration with MK and singing most of the tracks.
Official announcement soon.

My inner detective tells me that for a clue of it being the April Fools' day joke might be that you didn't create a new topic for the big leak ;D
Jokes aside, that would be so great... I'd actually want to hear that. David's recent album is magnificent, put some jazz to it and all that...
