The forthcomming 007 ?

I highly doubt it after 007 requires artists of Adele and Sam Smith calibre, at least today. By the way, the latest 007 song was so bad I can't even talk about it without some four-letter words. Man it was bad.

Indeed it was. Suited the movie perfectly.

Going slightly off-topic here, but if you ask me there hasn't really been a half-decent Bond theme since The World is Not Enough. Madonna's theme for Die Another Day, for instance, was possibly the worst in the history of the franchise. None of the themes for the Daniel Craig era films have been particularly special, largely because they keep going for modern chart acts who, frankly, are not especially talented. With that being said, I'm not sure I can imagine MK writing a Bond theme. I'd be over the moon if he did of course, but I don't think his general writing style would be quite the right fit for Bond.

         :)

That song is utterly timeless, and this is a beautiful version of it. I hadn't heard it until tonight. Thanks for posting.

This is my all time favourite Bond theme. By the way, it has some early MK/DS feeling to it, I clearly can imagine his solo in a song like this. But anyway, Mark and James Bond? Of course I would love to see that. Since James Bond uses the best British cars and stuff, why not to open the film with the best British songwriter? :lol

IMHO Skyfall was a great tune for a Bond theme.

Yes it was, and Adele was the perfect singer for it. Those first opening minutes of the movie until he "falls" and she starts singing are a great cinematic moment.

Hello Everybody. I think it's a pity. JI and his band are in concert in Vaureal not so far away from my hometown and I can't go tomorrow... Why couldn't they do something together  to celebrate their 40th anniversary? I guess that's the way it is!!

Mk is doing the soundtrack for the next Disney film...

I really hope it's not something like this.  If Mark were putting stuff out all the time it might be nice, but waiting 2-3 years between releases, makes me hope for just another album.

Which is not to say I wouldn't like something different, but a soundtrack isn't what I'm hoping for.
