And the question is whether this song will be on the new album but maybe something I did not understand. I do not remember
I know the way I can see by the moonlight
Clear as the day
Now come on woman, come follow me home

Well Guy said more in January, so maybe some news will be in January? Anyway, it seems it's easier just to wait till March.

Looks like Guy didn't appreciate the track listing joke I made, he ignored it  ;D

He doesn't handle criticism really well, even if it's just a little joke. Guy's been like that for years now, he loves tech questions and bootlickers but if you touch upon anything he does and don't praise it you're either ignored or get the typical fletch response. I don't know why I keep posting on there, I think it's just because it's cool to interect with someone I used to look up to and I can't help it...

Or maybe fans can't handle the fact that it is a GUY FLETCHER (producer, keyboardist, songwriter, etc) website and the fact that it has never been an official Mark Knopfler / Dire Straits website  :)

Do you really think people visit and comment on his forum because of Guy Fletcher? Really? If Mark ever fires Guy his forum will become as relevant as a popsicle in Siberia.

No,  I don't think they do.
But still, it is a GUY FLETCHER website / forum.

When it comes to sound engineering / music questions, he answers very nicely and offers his help. So I guess it will still be a very interesting place for musicians and sound freaks, just not for Mark Knopfler fans.

He doesn't need to do this obviously, he doesn't make a living out of this, so everything he gives us is a bonus, something we would never have anyway because MK would never run a forum or a diary anyway.

Just be thankful he's doing it as long he still bothers doing it.
Just my opinion.

I agree, indeed a good point but than again what is the bonus? A diary wich tells us nothing more than a couple of mucisions who are making a new album with MK. The surprise for us die hard fans is to see that Danny C is on board but thats all... With all respect...... He never gives us news about a new tour when it's gonna start or something like that. But okay, i understand he is paid by MK and that's the one in charge.

I looked up "die-hard fan"
die-hard fan
A die-hard fan is somebody who is completely 100% obsessed with their favorite game, band, movie, etc. these people wait in long lines, in the blistering cold, just to bring home the new "thing" they are fans of.

I am sorry but I am not a die hard fan. I have been listening and collecting DS & MK for nearly 30 years, but this is already recognized as an obsession that (perhaps) hurts only me. But when it comes to a person, I always try to put myself in the famous person's shoes. If one's fame means that he has to take everything from his fans (and in this case someone else's fans) I would feel so frustrated, outraged and tired of the human race that I would close, gently,  every door of communication.

Come on, it is not funny anymore.

Again, 95% of people who post there are MK fans. Guy knows that and if he wants to keep it running he needs to cope with that. To be honest? It’s nice to have it but I wouldn’t miss it very much if he shut it down. At least for as long as he provides forumers with such poor content.

And just for the record, it’s just my opinion.

If Guy closed his site there are a lot of things we would miss.
