Princes Trust 1988?
« on: April 15, 2009, 12:31:41 PM »
I found an old video recording of this show recently. To be honest I'd forgotten all about it, it seems to be discussed a lot less frequently than the earlier Princes Trust show.

Once again MK plays with Clapton and Elton John (and Alan Clark!), on tracks such as these:

The only time MK and Brian May have played together? (also worth watching to see Joe Cocker absolutely humiliate Marti Pellow, hilarious stuff from 4:38):

MK really gets into it with loads of jumping about.

Was this show ever released officially on DVD? Does anyone here have it?

When I checked my copy over, I discover  that my copy is an official dvd.   So I can't share it here.   I could be wrong though.   I would hate to have the security police make the effort to come to my house out in the boonies to check on it, only to discover that it's legal.
I do love to receive emails from my friends though.  ;D

Unfortunatly, the official release miss one of the songs, I think "Behind the mask" that was my favourite the first time I Saw it on tv  :(

I also remember that the spanish tv broadcast included some footgae in the RAH corridors where the stars were interviewed, all of that miss in the dvd too.

And I read that the concert took place in two days, and the secod day the superband (Knopfler, Clapton John) played Crossroads, but it wasn

I'll check my videotape to see if it has Behind the Mask or any of the other stuff. :) It's not great quality though, taped off VH1 years ago in LP mode.
