this is from the original taper, forgot his name, he already posted his own master on dime ages ago, good quality (the original transfer) but i am pretty sure it is no soundboard but purely an AUD rec.
he taped shitloads of shows in (mostly) Italy during the 80ies and 90ies.
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....

That´s right.

Dire Straits - Stadio Comunale, Torino, Italy, July 1st 1981, from master.

Disc One :

1. Intro > Once Upon a Time in the West
2. Expresso Love >
3. Down to the Waterline >
4. Lions
5. Skateaway
6. Romeo & Juliet pt. 1 (1 glitch between the 2 parts transition)
7. Romeo & Juliet pt. 2
8. News >
9. Sultans of Swing (1 glitch)

Disc Two :

1. Portobello Belle >
2. Angel of Mercy > Band Intro >
3. Tunnel of Love pt. 1 (1 glitch between the 2 parts transition)
4. Tunnel of Love pt. 2
5. Where do You Think You're Going?
6. Solid Rock

Pretty good audience recording from master....This is the last of the 1981 italian tour.
I cannot upload the Carrara show, cause my master cassette is completely broken, i tried,
bit it is impossible to fix it.

Master cassette > behringer ultra curve pro deq 2496 audio equalizer > tascam audio cdrw750 > plex tool professional XL > wav > flac.

Recorded, transfered, remastered & uploaded by 38f on Dime 2006.

Are there collectors out there that we know of that doesn’t want to share recordings (that is not in circulation)? I might recall that someone mentioned that a long time ago.. 🤔

Yes, there are quite a lot of recordings hidden in people's drawers by who knows the reason...

In 1996, in Barcelona concert, I had by my side two french brothers, a man and a woman, and she told me that she attended all french and Spanish shows and recorded all of them with a very good equipment. I never saw in circulation any of her recordings...

I also talked to a guy who told me he was going to make a video recording of the 2005 Oslo show once..

Hope the 96 recordings you mentioned shows up 😊👍

Hello, I wanted to share a new one from March 79.

I think it is the first unnoficial video recording of a Dire Straits concert. Is from the Bayou venue, in Georgetown. It was made in b/w, but with the audio direct from the soundboard.

Was found thanks to a documentary of that venue, made with all the recordings the owner made of the different shows that happened there. The original tapes were donated to the library of the RRHOF. They delivered a copy, but with a big watermark.

You can get the video and the audio in Laknopflertk´s tracker. But not in Dime, because the audio is loosy.

Enjoy

Well, I did contacted the RRHOF and got an email back from a Audiovisual Archivist who was very interested in the video and asked me for more information.

I send her a link to the documentary and asked her if they are planning to release this concert.

Will keep you updated.

Sorry, don´t understand what you are saying. I talked to the archivist, and finally got a copy (wich I paid), but watermarked. There wasn´t possible without this watermark, and I tried hard. The audio, also, had to be compressed.

What are you meaning is that they are thinking to do a commercial release?

What information did she asked for?

Alberto

I was wondering if they are planning a release from that video. Got his answer back: Unfortunately without you obtaining and providing proof of copyright permission, we’re unable to offer anything other than a low resolution watermarked copy like what he you already have.

So maybe David Knopfler can?
