.... Seriously, I think the price is a mistake ....
And I pray that if they decide to do that concert voucher thing again, they will organise things better....

let's hope.

I called amazon regarding the high price for the Get Lucky-Deluxe version (232 euro). They will check and change the price within the next 2 days, if it is a mistake. Otherwise ....

Well, it's extremely expensive in the US--$175.00.     Something does not seem right at all.    Perhaps Obama wrote the booklet.    ;D      It seems to me that they could make a LOT more money selling more at a lesser price.   Curious--how many people do you think will indeed spring for this overpriced (and bloated) package?

Well, I guess the management must think there is a market for this box set at the price quoted, unless it's a marketing ploy - advertise it at a really high price before release, then heavily discount it to say

My main gripe is the fact that we have no information about what is on the bonus CD or the two vinyls and so we are ordering something blindly for a very high price.  When I buy anything at all, including CDs, I like to know what I am getting.

Guy has already said on his forum that he knows what is on the bonus CD, so why are they so cagey about it?  Perhaps that's the whole point about the title, we may just "get lucky" and find we have bought a treasure, who knows - time will tell!  :)

Totally agree. I think most people are presuming that the box set contains "Get Lucky" on vinyl. That the guitar tabs are for the songs from "Get Lucky" and that the bonus cd is live recordings from the last tour, but without official confirmation who knows?

I just hope those willing to fork out for the box set do not end up disappointed with their purchase.

do you think different? we don't know what the CD bonus contains, but regarding the vinyls and the tab book I don't believe that any doubt exists

Well, whatever happens I'm not buying the box set. 10 years ago I would have been all over it, but I've got a kid now, more responsibilities etc and I just can't justify spending an extra 50 quid for this bonus CD when I could use it for him. Still curious to know what's on the CD though.

rudiger - I am with most people, but belief is one thing, knowledge is another. As Superval asks, why are they being so cagey about it?

I remember that every time, before a new release, they have been stingy about news. usually we know the news from other sources than the "official" ones. I think that this time, among the online music stores, there is a big confusion about the contents and the prices: I believe that the final price of the deluxe edition will be 70/90 euro. Said that, I hope to be denied and that the box will contain unpredicted stuff.
