Mmmm Rollergirl, do you think it is a ticket to a gig?   It seemed to me to be a copy of a classic gig ticket like the Mandela concert, perhaps!

I don't know, that's the first thing that came to mind and would justify the price of the deluxe box. If it's only a piece of paper with no value as such (I mean, I cherish my gig tickets but only because they remind me of the gig I went to....), then

I don't believe it will be a real ticket: when I've read "classic gig ticket" I thought to a copy (photocopy?) of the Alchemy ticket (but I doubt it will be). Even without the ticket the price is right:

From Salvador: The ticket will be a limited edition replica from a Knopfler gig. Nice collectors item.

I was waiting for this: when I said "Alchemy" I was quite sure that the DS era wouldn't have been brushed up ;D

OMG. I'm a real sucker for box sets.
Count me in. ;D
I wonder how many will be available?
I do agree it's a crazy price, but i'm a crazy knopflerholic. ;D
Most artists i like, i would probably only ever buy the standard edition, but i did buy the deluxe version, full of goodies, for the Dave Gilmour 'Live at Gadansk' box set.
And MK is the only other artist i would spend silly money on, to get the best version.

Great news, the only thing that bothers me is the (obviously quite expensive) vinyl! I don

I hope we find out what the bonus CD actually contains, before we order/buy.  It may be an absolute must-have!  On the other hand, it may be something we can do without, because as previously said it is a VERY expensive bonus CD!   :-\

Maybe there is a (get) lucky golden ticket that entitles 5 people access to Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory! Or Markie Knopfla's Recording Studio:-)
