On Every Street Tour
« on: April 10, 2016, 07:35:06 PM »
Recently I rediscovered some recordings OES tour. And it's a pitty that DS/MarkKnopfler not deceided to release a full show. I would love to hear a good SBD recording of Planet OF New Orléans, Tunnel Of Love, Fade To Black for example.
Just for fun what would be your Ultimate OES tour setlist/release.

This would be mine based on the Ahoy & De Kuip shows I've seen:
1. Calling Elvis
2. Walk Of Life
3. Heavy Fuel
4. Romeo & Juliet
5. Planet Of New Orléans
6. The Bug
7. I Think I Love You Too Much
8. Your Latest Trick
9. Private Investigations
10. Sultans Of Swing
11. Fade To Black
12. Iron Hand
12. On Every Street
13. You And Your Friend
14. Two Young Lovers
15. Tunnel Of Love

Encores
16. Telegraph Road
17. Money For Nothing
18. Brothers In Arms
19. Solid Rock
20. Local Hero

It's a real shame that those songs don't saw the light of the day in great quality. If we only could get PONO.. Fade to Black is brilliant as well. It's one of my favorites. The versions Terry mentioned are very good indeed.

PONO was recorded in soundboard for background in an erotic video remember, albeit not in full length.  Perhaps taken from a soundcheck?

29 OES tour concerts were recorded. if they want they can release those songs. the problem is MK.

29?  So I presume all nights at Rotterdam and Nimes, then all nights at Paris Bercy (April '92).  The televised/radio shows: Woburn Abbey, Basel, Copenhagen and Nimes (September '92).  That's 18.  Any more?

I heard that those images (DS playing PONO at the stage) are from the production rehearsals before the tour.

Thanks very much.  I had always wondered about that!  They should've made that the official video!  ;) ;)

Which shows who where recorded are mentioned in the tour itineraries :) I think it was the guy who has OnEveryBootleg that told me that. I absolutely love the OES tour. The early part is my favorite. Do you guys think the complete Copenhagen show was recorded?

I sure that yes, if exists a part of the soundboard recording, sure that exists the complete version..but it´s uncirculated..
I think that happens the same thing with recodings like On the night, Alchemy, and Wembley of course..

It must but I expect that the tracks on the bootleg are the only ones that were broadcasted.  If only the audio was leaked by the broadcaster rather than someone recording from the radio.  Still, I am thankful someone did.  Perhaps they played TOL that night, if so it would be the only SB version of the tour.
