Every TV or radio station has to buy the rights to broadcast video or sound from a concert,if it last for more than 2 or 3 minutes. It has nothing to do with how long, or what the artist is performing.

According to setlist.fm which is a very trustful source, this is what they played:

1. Ride Across The River
2. Expresso Love
3. So Far Away
4. Romeo & Juliet
5. Private Investigations
6. Sultans Of Swing
7. Why Worry
8. Walk Of Life
9. Two Young Lovers
10. The Man´s Too Strong
11. Money For Nothing
12. Tunnel Of Love
13. Brothers In Arms
14. Solid Rock (with Nils Lofgren)
15. Going Home (with Hank Marvin)

Standard set list, except for Wild West End. That makes sense too, kind of..

no it is not.
as always, the setlist is at marks' discretion. he decides.

It is quite interesting however, I think.  WWE is really Jack's "Marbletown moment" and if the entire show was to be recorded perhaps Mark thought better of performing that particular song that evening as it isn't really a necessary part of the set...

I don't think so. This was a regular show so why cut it off?
Are we 100% sure of that setlist and WWE omission?

Its probably that they dropped off WWE for that night..because they played WWE both 8 july and 11..
It´s possible..

When they played The Man's Too Strong, is Wild West End left out of the set?

I never thought about it and I never checked it...

How do we know that the footage for The Tube special is entirely from the July 10th show anyway? It's not mentioned anywhere in the broadcast and we don't have recordings of each Wembley show from that run to compare to. Could it be that a song or two was edited in from a different night?

They usually record one night for tv and radio shows don't they?

I have never heard about several concerts being recorded for making one hour of TV or radio show. I know a lot of guys who are working for TV and radio channels, and they have never talked about recording several concerts to make one appearance on TV or radio. I dont think the artist would have agreed with that either..
