When will MK be touring again?

Since I'm sooo longing for another MK tour I would like to hear your opinions about when it would be realistic to expect it.
As of now a 2017 tour doesn't seem likely since MK hasn't returned to BG yet. So I think a 2018 tour is more likely. But that is of course an eternity away from now.
What do you think?

I´m dreaming of the next tour as well Do we know that he isn't at BG these days? After the last tour I thought that 2016 would be a recording year, meaning a new tour in 2017. I will hold on to that thought for some time

Wasn't there a gig announced for a history festival this summer? Might be a very small UK festival tour then.

Remember, it is only March so there is a long time left to record the album yet if he really puts his mind to it for a tour 2017.

It's a curiosity that one.  Most unKnopfler-like.  Probably only doing it because it's local for him but to perform at such a gig is not like him at all, except when he's touring.

I would think it's something similar to Hay-on-Wye Festival.   I'm sure I read somewhere that the Lancaster bomber would be there and steam engines.

That was 9 years ago now!   

Time flies!         I really enjoyed my couple of days at Hay.  It was a wonderful atmosphere and lovely to see MK and his family walking around amongst the general public.

By the way, last weekend MK was in Madrid. The waiter of a restaurant in Aranjuez, a beautiful city where I lived for four years, uploaded to their instagram a picture with MK.

It was In January Guy stated that:

"Mark has been enjoying a period of well deserved inactivity"

So i guess that period was over allready back then. Who knows what he has been doing since...

I think GF will be MK's coproducer for the next album as well. So my assumption is that as long as GF has not finished his third album it is hard to imagine that preproduction for MK's next album has already started. Of course I would be delighted to be proven wrong!

Isn't there someone who can wait outside BG for a whole day to see if there's any MK around?

Never forget that Mark can move from is current line up although currently though as highly improbable. But who would have bet in the mid 90's that once DS dissolved Mark would never play again under that banner even for an one off charity gig?
