hi folks been hoping to find something like this as i'm knopfler nut ,been playing guitar for 15 years in the knopf style in a hope to play a bit like the man ,and it's starting to come together now ,been a hard slog but worth it . Recently got a mark knopfler signature strat which i love to bits and am saving for a reindhardt amp [like mark's ] seen the man 5 times once with the hillbillies but never with the straits ,much to my dissapointment .so there we have it hello all!

Sorry you didn't see the Straits. I saw them several times including 1 BIA concert. It was fantastic. But these guys now are fantastic, too.

  Hi mkstyle and welcome to AMIT.   I got to see DS 3 times and saw Mark and his new band in 2005 Hoping he'll travel south of the equator again next year but not that confident at the present time.

i saw them in 92 in torquay in devon ,only one prob me and another lad gave our programs and as they cams back they must have switched them so i've got someone elses called adam [i'm shane] and they must have to shane bummer

Hello MKstylee, welcome to this forum!! I hope you will have a great time with reading, posting and having fun here with all the crazy, intelligent, nice and some funny Knopfler fans! 

I never saw DS concerts, neither Hillbillies and ..........uuuuhhh to be honest I am only a fan since the last 2 1/2 years!  .........Yeah I can hear you think, where has that woman been all those years!!!!! That is something I wonder myself too! 

Well I was so lucky to meet all these wonderful fans who taught me a LOT about Mark and his music and I was able to attend the KTGC concert of Mark last year. I hope there still will be many in future!
